This may be a silly question, but how do y'all get the Morizo edition knob on the Core edition assembly?

I just got the knob for a GR86 which looks like it has an identical profile to the Morizo knob (referencing the first pic that @black86 posted), but the lower 'ring' interferes with the reverse lockout assembly; it effectively blocks it.

Am I missing something? (I hope so - I really like the knob! )

GR86 knob doesn't fit on the GRC unfortunately

:(

Edit: So, to answer my own question and verify the above - the GR86 is not directly compatible. But! Looking down the center of the inside of the GR86 knob, there's a single screw. If you take that out, the white plastic 'guts' of the knob can be wriggled out. I'm willing to bet that the Morizo has the same thing, only with a slightly differently-shaped and taller part.

I bet I could 3D print a Morizo plastic part equivalent, insert it into the GR86 knob, and be good to go.

Now all I have to do is to learn CAD design! 😂😭

My Core came with it as part of the "Styling Package" (that was later reduced to just the knob, as the port was out of sill protectors). I have a feeling that's how most, if not all, of us have them.

So, answering my own question - it's not

Yeah, that’s what I’ve figured since my original reply. But I’m also now nearly certain that if I get the Circuit knob & the GR86 knob, I can swap the internals. Then I’ve got a GR86 that fits perfectly on mine, and then I can sell the Circuit knob with the Morizo signature on it to a GR86 owner where it would now fit perfectly with no gaps. And if I sell my OG knob, I may even come out ahead!

Hi everyone. I have the core shift knob and I was wondering if it is worth it to upgrade to the leather or Alcantara Morizo one. Is it worth the price? Does it have more weight? Does the old one just screw off and new one screw on?

Thank you

Big thread here

Also, I found an aluminum knob I like, link in my signature.

In case anyone was curious, the killer bee delrin shift knob round, 6mt meant for the STI, does NOT fit. The lockout recess isn't wide enough. It may with some modification, but not as it is. Also, if anyone has a core shift knob and wants to trade for the upgraded one, let me know. The upgraded one feels uncomfortable to me, but I didn't have a choice

Toyota's still working the knob staff, 2024 CE gets the fifth knob. It's the new " Bold New Graphics!"

Wonder if the 2024 Core will get another unique knob?
I'm gonna try to get that on mine once I get a sample vin of a blue CE...

I swapped out the stock CE shift knob for the GrimmSpeed stubby. High quality and heavy! More than twice the weight of the stock knob (600 grams/245 grams). So far so good. I am loving that there are numerous knobs available that have the same threading as stock and can be installed without an adapter.

Same profile as mine, but i went delrin. I’m thinking i may give mine a spin on a lathe and slim it down a bit, there is plenty of material.

Which reverse lockout adapter are you using?

Does anyone know a good adapter that works for GRC? I bought a Mishimoto adapter only to find the internal diameter is not large enough.
Billetworkz sells the adapter separately, that is what I used
