Impossible. I'm sure the software and hardware are linked. That would be ROW market which may not even have the correct communication radios in the vehicle to work in the US.
Yeah it’s not going to happen unless Toyota offered it through the dealer as an upgrade which I 99% doubt will ever happen.

The good news is it could come to subsequent model years. It’s a game of chess on that too. They will upgrade things during the production run but which MY and how long are you willing to wait. I see it as real life musical chairs game. Trim, color, MSRP, which MY, etc. All I will say is waiting costs $0. Sure they will increase MSRP in subsequent MY’s but it shouldn’t be leaps. And % rates will drop to offset so it’s a wash. It’s all down to you if waiting is something of value. I think it is. Demand decrease, availability increase, new colors possible for SE’s. Upgrades like say the head unit, etc. They could even offer the CE seats as some kind of package on the Cores.

On the Focus RS, those who were the most patient got rewarded with the LE and you gained the front Quaife LSD, and no BS with ADM and acquiring. On the hatch STi, Subaru made (excellent) body changes to the bumpers in 2012 where my 2008 GR looked plain in comparison. So part of me wants my CE in the Spring, and part of me wants to wait until say August-Oct 2024 when MY2025 stuff is announced so I can cherry pick whether I want a 2024 or 2025 model. What you don’t want is to wait until the final production year and the boxing. The boxing is the first model year and the last. In between is the money and the way to cop the bag.

Yea, I think that there will be more desirable models in MY24 and MY25. My '23 is due in April-May so I'm sure I'll be salivating over some of the new things that get announced just months after I take delivery, but I've been waiting for this car for a loooooong time and I'm ready to get something fun to drive again.

I feel you man. Lol.

I’m actually a huge fan of the regular non-bulge hood. Gives it a nice sleek front end appearance that gives it almost a wedge shape. In addition, it looks sleeper AF and doesn’t attract much attention. I’ve owned it for only 2 weeks and the only people on the road that have acknowledged that it is a GR is a guy on a motorcycle, and some kid driving around a cosmetically modified current gen regular Corolla hatch. When that kid and I crossed paths, I saw his eyes light up and mouth drop.

I’m also a big fan of the matte plastic pieces that are unpainted like the grille and lower rear bumper. Piano black exterior trim is such an annoyance to take care of. But with the matte plastic, just spray some 303 Aerospace Marine Protectant and it’s good to go. I also use that spray in the interior plastic, vinyl, rubber surfaces. Gives it a nice, bright satin finish which I prefer over piano black.

For my white Core I had ordered a CE hood and all the associated parts about a month ago (only $623 but then you have to have it painted and PPF'd like the rest of the car, so probably $1200-$1500 total), but after reading your post, I realized I also like the regular hood better. The parts have been on backorder, so I was able to cancel the order this morning - you just saved me some bucks.

Thanks!

Best looking GRC posted anywhere so far besides the gray circuit. I would actually fuck this car (respectfully)
Funny you brought this car up. Apparently, this guy shifted from 2nd to “3rd” but the shifter got stuck and revved the engine to 9k rpm for a split second bEcAuSe of iMT. Lol I’m sure that’s a money shift and not iMT’s fault. The motor maybe a ticking time bomb.

He also found the limited top speed of the car, 149 mph.
