Here’s the part number and what the shift knob looks like. It may be a port installed part since I received one at work. So I guess that’s at least one of the 10 Morizo coming to canada will be a British Columbia allocation.
Delrin is the way. If I bag my CE the Morizo shift knob is the first thing coming off the car. Post pics when you get it. I like Cobb’s Suby Delrin knob the best. That’s what I ran on my STi and RS.My Core model came with the leather wrapped knob as an interior option i guess (along with the all weather mats and door sill protectors). My father’s is a base core with no options, so just the plain knob. While i think the upgraded knob looks better, it’s way too large in diameter for my hand. The plain base knob is smaller and much more comfortable to me.
I measured mine with a set of calipers, and while i don’t remember the exact measurement it was over 2” maybe over 2.25”. That said I’ve got a 1.75” Grimspeed delrin knob coming that is rumored to work with our backup-lockout ring.
Hopefully it fits fine, as that’s my main gripe with the car at this point. I’ll be glad to update with pics or definite specs of my current knob and the replacement if anyone is interested.

Thank you boss ✌🏽It’s a spin off
Delrin is fine. tint the windows and get the clear tint on your windshield and interior heat really does go away for the most part.I hope so. I’ve never had a delrin knob, and i do like a weighted feel… But i live in the south, any metal part is gonna be scorching during the summer.
I read somewhere that the Corolla (GR or standard) shift knobs are not compatible with the 86. Our stuff is compatible with like the Focus RS, or the other Subaru (WRX) style shift knobs. Apparently just the 86/BRZ platform is the oddball. Still waiting on my delrin knob to come in and check the fit. It’s for a Subaru but supposedly our reverse lockout will fit fine.Anyone here know
1. Part number for the leather wrapped one?
2. If this fits a GR86? I think itd be amazing on mine

Different strokes for different folksi panic bought a morizo knob when I heard they might be vin locked... I'm really not a fan. it sits higher and makes the throw noticably longer. the weight also amplifies the sloppiness... back to core knob for me, I'll keep the morizo as a center price or something on the shelf.
How does the height compare to the Core knob? Mine came with the leather/unsigned Morizo knob, and the shifts feel pretty long. Wondering if a knob swap would help. This aluminum Mustang knob I found on ebay has the correct 12mm 1.25 threads and shift pattern, and fits perfectly, including the recess for the reverse lockout.

Aluminum shift knob
I have an oem Honda knob similar to this on my NSX, so thought I'd see if I could find a similar one to fit the GR. Did a bunch of research to find other cars with the same threads and same shift pattern, finally took a chance and ordered this on ebay. It fits perfectly- even has a recess on...www.grcorollaforum.com
I think the installed height is virtually identical to the oem knob. How does the height compare to the Core knob? Mine came with the leather/unsigned Morizo knob, and the shifts feel pretty long. Wondering if a knob swap would help.
correct. I like the knob a lot. so much I am looking to shorten the throws and tiddy up the slop and came across a few products... stay tunedDifferent strokes for different folks
coming from cars with short shifters (t3 in t50, cubespeed in w55 and oem+ sti in the 6mt Crosstrek) maybe im sensitive to it. it's maybe 1-2 cm in height difference. but at the end of a fulcrum, that can be a lot...How does the height compare to the Core knob? having both on back to back (all the way down) they are not the same height. unless my signed morizo leather is different 😂I think the installed height is virtually identical to the oem knob.
