This aluminum Mustang knob I found on ebay has the correct 12mm 1.25 threads and shift pattern, and fits perfectly, including the recess for the reverse lockout.

I just got the same one and I like it. Perfect fit as advertised.

The ebay one had limited info regarding specs, so not sure. It feels by hand to be considerably lighter than the stock Circuit, which is 245 grams. The GrimmSpeed is a beast at 600 grams.

I am fine with the stock knob. I just like having a few others to swap out from time to time.

yea, that was why i held off on ordering that one. I'm looking for something more weighty and the grimmspeed seems perfect to compliment the short shifter kit. Do you have any mods done regarding the shifter feel like bushings or a short throw?

I have also been looking at www.lathewerks.com

He has some cool looking options on his site.
yea those do look super sweet. Might pick up something more budget-friendly just to see if i want to get into the world of metal shifters. I have yet to experience the pain of burning my hands on a blistering hot piece of metal and I'm not sure i want to go down that path. currently, I'm having a custom weighted shift knob made of wood for me that's in the 200g range, but I do want to pick up something more affordable to see if i would like the feel of a HEAVY shifter.

The Grimmspeed one came in a little black pouch. I have it in my glovebox to slip over the knob if needed…😀

in all honesty a window tint and a window reflector helps keep alot of the heat off the shifter
yea, that's fair, I plan to get tints around my car, just maybe not the front windscreen since it's not uncommon to have them damaged around my area with the constant construction and i can't afford to have it retinted every year or so. And between the hot and the cold of NY, I'm not sure if a metal knob is worth the hassle YET, but I do plan on ordering one as i play around dialing in the car.

I typically like to go in raw, but ig a little protection never hurts. I'll probably end up ordering the same one you have. Thanks for making me 60$ poorer

I personally think it's bizarre and/or hysterical that some folks find shift knob weight to be important, but nonetheless, I weighed my spare ebay aluminum knob, and it weighs 161 grams.

FYI the plastic threaded insert eventually loosened on mine, I removed it and put a touch of weatherstripping adhesive on the threads that hold it in the knob, and a touch on the shift lever threads to hold the knob in registration in the car. Still easily removable if you needed to.

I noticed the plastic threads and that helps explain the low cost, along with the manufacturing location. If it happens to mine I’ll just switch to another. Thanks
