And this one is pretty niche, but the proximity entry takes 1-2 seconds too long to react. When I grab my RAV4s door handle, so long as I’m not sprinting, I can have a nice clean motion of: place hand, pull door handle, door opens. On the GRC it’s: place hand, wait a second, then pull door handle, door opens.
I agree completely, and noticed the exact same thing as compared to my wife's 2020 RAV. One thing I have noticed though, I have a tendency to hook the handle with one finger and pull it. I have found that if I grab the GRC handle with my whole hand instead of just one finger, it does seem to unlock more quickly.

Interesting, I’ve been using just 2 fingers to avoid scratching the paint with my ring as I haven’t ppf’d the door cups yet.

twice now in a week of having the car and only driving it a couple times really, Ive came out to the locked car and cranked the handle only to have it slam back still locked, not used to that with my Tacoma or my highlander, seems like this one takes a sec or 2 longer to register key in pocket and unlock

Okay, took delivery today, where do I start.
The stock stereo sounds horrible, like an old am radio, zero base even with the base turned way up.
However the exhaust sounds quite good.
The hood is very light, so in order to close it I have to hold it quite high in order for the latch to catch, and it really slams down hard, hopefully it won't bend in the process.
Seats are surprisingly comfortable, much better than in my VN.

1. Rest hood on latch hook.
2. Press down on hood to engage latch

i never understood why slamming the fucking hood from the sky to close it became so common.

the local autox tech inspection and even all drift tracks tech inspections do the same shit. from the literal sky.

it takes a very light amount of pressure with your hand to close it

I'll give that a try tomorrow.

It’s because sheetmetal has become thinner and thinner to reduce weight, and aluminum hoods are particularly subject to denting from pressing on them. For example, my NSX manual clearly says you should drop the hood to close it.

The tech inspectors are just being careful.

The JBL system in mine isn't great....the rear speakers are so quiet. The system seems equal to my wife's 2020 Corolla hatchback without a JBL upgrade.

My solution was to adjust the fader, then raise the volume. Then adjust the fader, then raise the volume. Eventually you get to a point where it's pretty acceptable, but there is definitely a sweet spot for the fader. Adding a subwoofer makes a huge difference as well since the car sorely lacks bass.

In Canada we don't get the option for the JBL upgrade on the Core, so that probably answers the question why it sounds so bad.
My 2012 VW Sportwagen stereo sounds light years better.

When y'all say the rear speakers don't do much are you meaning tone wise? My rears are plenty loud. They just sound more like a mid, not very good sounding. Volume around 25-30.

I think what folks mean is that the sound stage in the car is very forward, like music was being played from the windshield. I certainly can't hear the back speakers at all unless I tweak the balance. And then it just sounds muddy to me.
