Not much metal up front to mount a light bar to, might need to drill holes in the grille to access some added threaded inserts/standoffs in the bumper bar (under the styrofoam in this borrowed shot) for a clean install. View attachment 19840
without seeing the bottom of that cross bar, if the foam doesnt go around the bottom, i feel like its a flat solid mounting point in the metal crashbar, maybe some threaded inserts into the bottom of the crash bar. im sure theres people/companies working on this idea right now.

Bumper bar looks like the usual aluminum extrusion, with a stepped profile.. Lower one at fog light level I think is steel, also with a Styrofoam cover. Too bad there's not a matching tow hook receptacle on the other side. The foam cover has an opening on the right side, maybe the JDM version has the hook on that side? Then you could have a bar spanning both tow points.

I made a bracket to mount some Hella LED lights. The bracket goes through the grill and mounts to the metal bumper bar from the bottom. I did have to drill some holes in the bumper bar to mount the bracket but the holes cannot be seen if the light bracket is not mounted. Super similar to the Veloster that was posted before in this thread.

Are those the Tarmac wheels?

Here are some close up shots so you can see how the mount is designed!

very nice work! love that the crash bar bottom lines up perfectly with the holes in the grill so no cutting had to be made to the grill. Im probably going to do something like this soon, i think it would be fun to have a "Winter look" with my Turbomacs and some bumper lights, and then back to summer mode remove that stuff switch wheels and go more for a street look.

You should post a video on how you made the mount

Hi guys, trying to wire up some Narva EX2 lights to mine (because so much easier with internal switching...) and I cannot ID a High Beam signal wire. No wires into the headlights change voltage when flipping high-beam on/off and in the fuse box where the diagram says there's a high beam fuse, there is no fuse... Have those who've installed lights above managed to locate said high beam signal wire? Help! Thanks!

Also check out the Lazer crash-bar mount. Works a treat for the GR Yaris for inside grill mounting but would work upside down for the Corolla.

There’s some good info in this thread starting at post 45.

In addition to Centerpunch’s solution, it looks like TripleR makes a CAN bus module for triggering add-on lights when the high beams are on:
