The way the front end slopes is a bit odd for a rally pod. Ive put lights in front of the crash bar or the only place where air wont be flowing into the grille. Work in progress, but still kinda cool.
Just add a vented hood and it's basically my build plan with different wheelsThe way the front end slopes is a bit odd for a rally pod. Ive put lights in front of the crash bar or the only place where air wont be flowing into the grille. Work in progress, but still kinda cool. View attachment 1384
Thats the beauty of modern LED lights like I used in the picture, they are only a couple inches thick. How about a "eye of Sauron" to replace the honkin' big Toyota badge?
I'm with Pizza, don't block the airflow, but fill up some of that black plastic space with lights. I'm afraid the row of four would have to be very shallow with the bumper behind the grille.
I'm beyond rural, and I need to spot Moose and black bears in the night, so candlepower is usually the first upgrade to a new vehicle. Not going to be able to do much with the OEM LED's though...
I agree, I think either an evo style hood vent or even the Circuit edition would work well here.Just add a vented hood and it's basically my build plan with different wheels
I'm hoping for GT-Four style vent but both of those work very good as wellThats the beauty of modern LED lights like I used in the picture, they are only a couple inches thick.

How did you wire/mount those lights? I've been thinking about doing something similar with my car with a roof rack.Terrible picture of my car, but there's always the roof...

They're bolted to a piece of steel that is then attached to a Yakima Q Tower roof rack that clamps onto the roof. The wiring is tied into the highbeams and a switch (so they can only be on when the high beams are on) which runs up the windshield along the A pillar, held in place by some plastic clips that are stuck to the windshield. I haven't tried it out properly yet but it puts out a lot more light than the headlights in the garage. How did you wire/mount those lights? This looks amazing. Lots and lots of internet points. And love all the personal car rally lights. Gives me some ideas....The way the front end slopes is a bit odd for a rally pod.
