The GR Corolla comes with Toyota Safety Sense (TSS) 3.0. How is the factory lane keep assist on the highway? Can you be basically hands free?
I was going to set it off by default, but it's very unclear. The customization says you can change it in the gauge cluster, but no instructions on how to get there. Most of the "safety" features (including pre-collision system, lane departure alert, road sign assist, driver break suggestion, BSM, rear cross traffic alert, safe exit assist) can be turned OFF in the user settings.
See details starting at page 371 in the owner’s manual.
Page 114 in the manual says you should "refer to the “MULTIMEDIA OWNER'S MANUAL”.I was going to set it off by default, but it's very unclear. The customization says you can change it in the gauge cluster, but no instructions on how to get there.
Hey, there should be a number on that manual, something similar to OM12P76U.There is a multimedia manual, it doesn't have anything regarding the driver assist stuff. At least not that I found.
The car manual?I can't find that manual online, but Helms says they have it in stock. I think I'll just wait for my car lol.
From skimming the hatchback multimedia manual, it looks like you have to set up driver's profiles, and then each driver can save their personal settings.
Maybe.
That's not even for our cars lolI'm going to be trying this...
How To Disable/Activate Lane Departure Steering Assist | Toyota of Deerfield Beach | in Deerfield Beach, serving Pompano Beach FL

Left side of the steering wheel the main center switch. Use that and press down to cycle through the menu until you see setting then prs the ok button in nf hold it and that takes you to the settings menu. Then find the setting you want to turn off and long press ok again with that setting highlighted to open the sub menu settings for what you want and from there you can turn it on or off@Trapper yep, it wasn't for our cars, but it was for a Toyota, I presumed it might be generic enough a setting that it was ubiquitous across Toyota, but no dice.
and yes, I agree with you, the manual says it's as simple as opening the settings and turning it off all the way, but I haven't found the setting where I can do that. I went to the relevant pages in the physical manual yesterday and found nothing of use. I don't think the PDF document is going to provide anything different.
if you have done it in yours, if you don't mind being a bit more detailed about which settings area to go to, and how to access, that would be awesome.
