After watching this video, I think I am going to have all of the fluids changed in my GR. Front and Rear Diffs, Oil and Trans. Just to be on the safe side. And 100% within 1000k miles or break in. Seeing all those metal shavings and super dark fluids is just scary to think about leaving it in there long term. This guy also states that it decreased the longer he had the car and even after tracking it.

That was always my experience. The factory fluids would look like shit in a very short time, but once you change them all they look really good for a long time after that.

I posted in the other thread, but this might be better with a sticky here

just finished changing the oil. While I should have used my quickjacks, I'm a glutton for punishment and didnt want to move cars around. it was almost as easy as my STi, pan and filter are a little further back but its all do able for a 6ft 250lb guy with a single jack.

Tools:
10mm socket
14mm socket
Claw style oil filter tool and 3/8 ratchet.

Part numbers are in the video!

I have not yet, but I will. Of course you already know that each of the four is unique, so here they are.

RF 43512-52180
LF 43516-52020
RR 42431-52190
LR 42432-52010
Seems about ~550 for the front rotors apiece. I wish the image was more indicative of the actual rotor since we have 2 piece front rotors

It may or may not be a two-piece rotor, but the parts catalog definitely only shows it as one part. At least that's the way Toyota sells it. You may find something different from the aftermarket, but Toyota sells it as one piece.

Oh I’m not worried about it having 2 part numbers I just hate seeing the generic image of a 1 piece rotor because part of me still will be worried it’s the wrong piece even if I know it’s by part number not image haha

someone mentioned on FB it looks like rivets... I haven't been able to check the back of it's threaded...
The person that posted constantly posts things that are incorrect.

The Facebook group is for amateurs 😁
LOL agreed. I'm on there because I was hoping there would be useful stuff, but half of the posts are shady dealer reps telling people to PM them for the price on a GRC that clearly has a $10K+ ADM.

Its pretty awful LOL. Just like the rest of FB its alot of bad vibes, morons asking/begging for cars and info, dealers being shady.

FSM / Maintenance guide does not say anything about diff, trans, and transfer case oil change until 10k / 1 year.

Any proof from Toyota other than YouTube mechanics?

Even if parts are shared, I’d say you should treat the GRC as a different platform than the GRY. We are driving the updated and improved version of it after all.

Just changed my engine, transfer, diff, and manual fluid at 629 miles.
Seen mixed reviews about break in, but figured I do it just to be safe.

Manual Transmission = Redline MT-LV 70W/75W GL-4
Transfer & Diff = Redline 75W85 GL-5
Engine = Motul 8100 Eco-lite 0w20 (ILSAC GF-6A / API)
