The center caps are Toyota PN 42603-WAA01 and I paid about $60 for 4 of them from my local dealer.

Here's the link to the lugs:------------------------------------------------------

No guarantees those are quality lug nuts, but there aren't a ton of options for what we need. I'm happy with them so far though!
nice! thanks for the rec! I have the same lug nuts but 8-spline for my trucks. they're made for us when we use thin spacers. that's great to know these fit too!

Thanks @vietataru for originally posting about the Speedlines! I ended up going with those from Mann Engineering in Gold. They fit the car great (pic below of clearance with weights) and I've got them wrapped in Cooper Evolution Winter tires for upcoming rallycross events. These wheels really give a nice look that reminds me of the 2000s era Corolla WRC car.

Did you happen to have the specs on weight of this? These are definitely in the vein of wheel I'd like, bigger sidewall and five spoke.

Yup, stock spacers. I think the next time I get tires I'd go 255 because I like a meatier fitment, but overall I'm so pleased with the setup. I think you'll really like it!
Finally got the car and wheels installed. Front's are sure a tight clearance over the rotor's heat shield, just takes a bit more care to keep from dinging the barrel.

Overall, happy with the look. Bitter cold here for the next week so it won't be out on the road at all. Wheel and tire package was in fact about a 5lb difference per corner.

Also managed to get 9 turns on the stock studs and that's with a new F3mm/R13mm spacer so as to get a net +10 offset from the factory set-up which seems to be a sweet spot.

I just realized you have PS5s, they've been hard to find apparently, aftermarket stock must be improving. Do you have any experience with the PS4Ss? Curious how they compare, considering either of them after the PS4s die.

Sorry, no experience with the PS4S! Haven't done any autocross or spirited driving with the PS5 yet, so I dont have much to offer there either. Didn't know they were having stock issues, my tire shop did have to get them directly from the manufacturer though which took a couple weeks.

I just installed the Sparco ff1 17 inch wheel and 245 45 17 Vred. quatrac Pro Plus all-weather Tires on my 2025. I could force a 5/16 in extension cord between the brake and tire Barrel so I would say there's a quarter inch clearance.

The results on a five mile dirt Rock Road to my house in the Rockies is fairly dramatic with increased comfort and no doubt, more rim protection. I am sure the handling Dynamics are off a click or few. I made some before and after acceleration readings and if I can make Layman's sense of the data I will post it if needed I was thinking I would go to coilovers but now I may just put larger diameter tires on with possible lift of a half inch from spacers or springs?

Welcome to the FF1 17 with 245/45/17 club, fellow old guy!

Thanks. It's a good compromise for my environment; softened bumps, less fear of damage, but dulled steering response.
I don't mind the loss of dry grip with all weather tires.
Does that match your experience?
Pretty much. The roads are terrible where I live, and I like the rim protection. The dulled steering response isn't nearly as noticeable as I thought it would be. It was way more dramatic in my Mazda 2 when I went with taller sidewalls. The car still grips plenty enough for street driving. And it rains SO MUCH where I live anyway.

I'm debating on picking up these Titan 7 T-M20 17x9.5 +51mm in Medalist Gold and using a 15mm spacer to get +36mm offset. I'd run 245/45R17 Conti DWS06+ tires. They claim that will clear big brake kits. This set is made for a S2000 with square fitment.

I really want to go 17s, but would like this mesh style wheel, if I'm gonna do it. My all time favorite wheel is the BBS LM, so any attempt to replicate that look with a 17 inch wheel would have my monies. Haha.

Following up my previous post, I got the Sparco Ff1 17x8.5 +30 installed on the car today.

Here's the story (I'll bold the important bits):

Tirerack sends regular 60 degree conical nuts with the wheels.

I call them to ask if those are safe/etc. and if they sent me the wrong nuts by mistake.

The lady on the phone was nice but could not help me. She referred me to the engineering department and had me send my VIN and pics of the lug nuts they sent.

Four days later, i was too impatient to wait for a reply from tirerack (after emailing and calling again), so I ordered these gorilla nuts:

The nuts showed up today, and tirerack sent a very uninformative email saying they shipped me some new nuts. Great. Those have not come in yet, but I'm curious what type they are.

I measured the lug holes in the Sparcos at 0.62" with calipers.

I measured the width of the shank on the ET Gorilla nuts at 0.60" with calipers.

I bolted them on today with the Gorilla nuts, and they fit like a dream.

My super scientific bathroom scale says the Sparcos with tires (245/45ZR-17 Continental ExtremeContact DWS 06 Plus) inflated to 35PSI weigh 43.8lbs.

The stock core wheels with stock tires inflated to 35PSI registered 44.0lbs then 43.8lbs after another try.

My conclusion is the weight difference is basically zero.

With those nuts, I got about 10 turns by finger tightening before torquing them down.

Anyway, here are a few pics:

I'm looking forward to an accurate speedo and possibly suppler ride. I know handling will probably suffer a bit.
Since installing this wheel and tire combo back in Oct '24, how do you feel about compared to stock? Many folks are saying Conti tires are enough comfort over the PS4 tires. Must be due to the really stiff side wall that the PS4 tires have.

I have no regrets. I like the taller sidewall for street comfort, and the handling is still good enough for the street. I am not delusional about how I've probably sacrificed some of the car's handling and steering feel. I'm simply not sensitive enough to it in STREET driving to care. In a blind test I probably couldn't tell you which is which aside from potholes feeling less jarring with the 17" contis.

I can still rip it around a 90 degree turn in 50/50 sport mode and feel the car do its magical thing.

If I were tracking the car, I would definitely be less competitive, but I could see using these for street tires and putting on something much more serious for the track.

Hello Dale!
Awesome wheels. So good looking I got those exact rims myself! I was planning on putting 235/50/17 x-ice. I saw someone do that and with 50 it seems to still leave plenty of clearance. But i had a question for you. I see you said your initial lugnut were not ok and you changed for gorilla ET.
The lugnut that came with my rims were like your gorilla minus the extended bit (mine are 1.38in long):

When i tried them on it seemed to have plenty of thread engagement and the seating seemed right. Honestly I didn't count the number of turns but it didn't strike me as not enough. So my question is why was your initial lugnuts not good? Too short and not enough thread engagement?

Also, any issue with the hub ring? did you chose plastic or aluminum?
Just wanted to ask this cause I'm still a noob. Thanks a lot for sharing your install it was greatly appreciated!

Cheers.

You have excellent taste! :)

The hub rings tirerack sent worked fine. They're plastic. I've never had a problem with plastic hub rings. They like to get a bit stuck sometimes, but a little persuasion always works.

I feel like ET shank nuts are best because our studs are so short. I'd hit up tirerack for the correct nuts if I were you.

Thanks Dale! I decided not to take a chance and ordered ET shank nuts. I still have time before the winter season start.
