Oh Look it's the one that was supposed to be mine but the dealer went back on their word and selling it as a 'used' vehicle with 20 miles on it
Same dealer? Cuz I’m pretty sure this dude bought his before I saw that post of yours.Oh Look it's the one that was supposed to be mine but the dealer went back on their word and selling it as a 'used' vehicle with 20 miles on it
It seems to be. This is the dealer that I've had a PO in writing from since February. They gave me a call today and said it's available for $49,999 as a used car with 20 miles. Our agreement is still good, but not on this one so I guess I'll waitSame dealer? Cuz I’m pretty sure this dude bought his before I saw that post of yours.
This one was purchased from Jerry’s Toyota if that helps lolIt seems to be. This is the dealer that I've had a PO in writing from since February. Maybe I responded to the wrong thread. There was one with Fitzgerald plate frames I saw so I meant to respond to thatThis one was purchased from Jerry’s Toyota if that helps lol
Speaking of Jerry's I hear they're also kinda shadyThis one was purchased from Jerry’s Toyota if that helps lol
Basically all the dealers in the DC area are scum. Priority in Springfield has theirs listed for $15k over which is even worse. My only hope now is that Fitzgerald will honor my agreement for any subsequent one they get.No, @sugarfish is right. My pictures are of what was supposed to be his car at Fitzgerald.
Jerry's is garbage. They swap OEM wheels and tires for bottom-tier Chinese shit on brand new regular Corollas.
My salesman (who is probably also your salesman) told me that's tentatively the plan for the next ones allocated, but management might change their mind and screw us all over. I'm over the hype at this point. I'd rather have another Supra but I don't really want to deal with Toyota dealerships anymore. Probably will go German next.Basically all the dealers in the DC area are scum. Priority in Springfield has theirs listed for $15k over which is even worse. I'm over the hype as well. However, objectively I think it's still a good car that will not depreciate as fast as other cars so I still would get one if given the opportunity. My salesman (who is probably also your salesman) told me that's tentatively the plan for the next ones allocated, but management might change their mind and screw us all over. Thanks for the insight. I've driven a 6MT Corolla before and to this day that shifter is the most limp manual trans I have ever felt in my life. Super comfortable and easy to drive though, but the steering on that is numb too.To preface this, I didn't drive it very hard because I wanted to follow break-in procedure for whoever did buy it (apparently it sold this morning). Basically, it felt like my buddy's STI but with lighter inputs and, frankly it felt like more of an economy car as far as ergonomics go. It is a Corolla at the end of the day, I'm not sure why I expected different LOL. It did sound really unique but droned quite a bit at low revs. Power seemed adequate from my partial throttle pulls up to 4k RPM. Steering was numb but appropriately weighted. The clutch throw felt abnormally long to me though, and the actual shift action felt like a cross between a GR86 and a regular 6MT Corolla. Not particularly impressive in that regard, although it was easier to drive smoothly than my GR86 thanks to the better throttle response. I'm sure it would be fine for most people, but my previous Miatas really ruined other manuals for me.

Also props to you for not redlining it knowing damn well you weren't going to pay $10k markup 🤣🤣
I hope it didn't sell that fast, if the dealer thinks they can keep getting away with $10k over, they will continue to do so.
Yeah it drives very similar honestly. To preface this, I didn't drive it very hard because I wanted to follow break-in procedure for whoever did buy it (apparently it sold this morning).
