It’s sad that the circuit edition won’t be in black as well, but I will be back with one in black

 

Japan’s still gatekeeping stuff from the US, I just saw that they offer the GRC RZ in black which would be equivalent to our circuit edition

Can’t wait to see what black looks like. Wish I could get a black core + pp with that Cp hood but not a deal breaker. Maybe aftermarket will eventually give a few more options there to at least think about anyway

 

I tried to change the color on the supersonic red pr photos (with my phone ps so it's not great) to start doing some half ass wheel option pics for myself so figured I'd post it here if anyone else wanted it! I'm still between white and black until I can work on demoing the couple ideas I have for the car on both colors!

 

This looks good in black. Can't wait until the real production cars are released and can see what they'll look like.

 

My core will be black but i would have prefered heavy metal or even mystic purple..

I'm not one for a black car.. usually, but I do like how it looks on the GR.

Also, I noticed this is a Core model, with the Performance Pack (red brake calipers).

 

I think I woulda preferred a matte black after seeing the matte gray on the Morizo, but it's a clean car. Some bronze or white wheels would really add some flavor

 

I used to like black color on STI because it blends good with carbon fiber fender and hood, and it's pretty versatile when it comes to caliper/wheel color selection IMO, but this... it makes a GRC look like a regular corolla from certain angle 😅

 

I agree, Heavy Metal is at the top of my list. What color are you thinking to get?

 

Black would be my last choice, I’ve had three black cars in the past and they’re so hard to keep looking good. That said, this doesn’t look too bad although the black does absorb all the curves.

 

Black is definitely the best sleeper color!

 

Black hides all the vents and accents, def the sleeper color. Not for me tho having lived witg a black FR-S in the tropics.

I'm all for the Corolla in black, however the other colors really seem to give it more character. If there are signs that we'll get some good support of carbon fiber parts, then I might go for black.

Do you already have a GR Corolla reservation? What spec?

 

White's been my preferred choice, but I'm loving this in black. Get a good tint and it'll look great.

 

I'm really starting to warm up to black. It sedates the look just a little which means you can get away with more aftermarket. I'm picturing black on hyperblack wheels, red aftermarket bucket seats, carbon cleared hood and wing. Carbon replacement side vents. Carbon lip kit all around. That would look astoundingly hard on a black core. On any other color I think it might be a bit much. s

 

Stopped by to see the first car delivered in the country at DARCARS Toyota in Silver Spring, MD, conveniently about 20 minutes from my house. After seeing it in person, I wouldn't turn down a black Core at MSRP. Unfortunately, they want an extra $10k for this one, so it was easy to walk away.

This low key makes me so excited for my black haha the depth looks fantastic

 

I don't think it'll be a tack on, no. I would expect the aftermarket to make a replica of the prototype spoiler that we saw on the reveal car. It appears bigger and higher than what ultimately is making it to production, if the pictures in the configurator are accurate.

@Cptnslo you should link that YT video of the black Core in the CA mountains that you shared here, buried in the dealer updates thread somewhere otherwise I woulda

Ok ok, that black is really clean. I think with PPF and a ceramic coat it should be manageable. Looks stellar with the red calipers

 

I have been dead set on white. My dealer took pre-preferences and will call when a match is allocated (white/pp). I am #2 on a msrp list. #1 is CE.
I just emailed and added black. They look amazing.
