If you are expecting to ‘test drive’ a GRC before you buy it, well, you’re going to be very unhappy. I’d say there is little to zero chance that that will be a possibility. Every one of these cars that is incoming already has 5 buyers chomping at the bit to own it. No dealer is going to want to put miles on a demo or even needs to do so in order to sell every single car that they can get their hands on. Case in point - I purchased (and love and still own!) a ‘18 CTR brand new back in ‘18. No dealer would allow a test drive; if you wanted the car, you bought it. Period. I went to many dealers (that’s another story all together - I refused to pay ADM, and let me tell you it was almost impossible to buy at MSRP but I finally managed to do it at Princeton Honda, after days of bargaining.). Anyway, there was ZERO chance of a test drive. I was allowed to sit in the car. And that was it. I asked ‘what if I don’t like it after driving it home?’ The general manager said ‘then bring it back and we will ‘unbuy it from you’. I’m not kidding lol. That’s what he said. Of course after the first mile I knew I’d fallen in love with it and it’s been one of the best cars I’ve ever owned in my whole life! Anyway - back to the thread. No way, no way, are you going to bop into a dealership, ever, in the next few years and test drive one of these cars. Something this desireable, and super low production, is not going to be demo’s. If you must have a test drive before buying, I think your best bet would be to make friends with someone on here who buys one! 😉

The ONLY way that would happen
Would be something like ford is doing with the lightning where some dealerships get demo trucks but I don’t think Toyota will EVER do something like that.

And it's going to get a gazillion views, because apparently that's the kind of stuff that many people on the internet want to watch, for some reason.
No Donut slander is tolerated.

Can't wait for the Donut Media video 4 years from now "HOW DEALERSHIPS KILLED THE GR COROLLA 😱😥"
I could see it lol they were spot on in regard to the Focus RS.

Speaking of N cars, look at this moment out of California. My mind has been blown.

N owner's registration revoked for breaking noise ordinances with a stock exhaust and told to fix it.

Yeah. Commiefornia is not fun. I can vouch that we have some fun-hating, power-tripping cops here. They go hard at regular people like this but give free passes to career criminals (that part more the fault of prosecutors/DAs here). Definitely planning to move to another state hopefully within the next few years.

We'll welcome you here in Texas!

Exact same thing happened to me in Canada.
Cop puts his light and Siren 🚨 on pulls me over and asks me "do you know why I pulled you over?"
Sticking out his chest in his tight bullet proof vest, I had a feeling he was going to be a prick.
I said I didn't think I was speeding, he says I pulled you over because your exhaust is broken, pops and bangs and too loud.
I tried to explain to the moron that my car is completely stock from the factory and dealership, that I haven't changed the exhaust or modified the engine, even showing him the button for the active exhaust, but he didn't have the intelligence to grasp it, and gave me a ticket anyway.
I rarely pay any tickets I get, and always go to court where so far I've won every case.
It's the luck of the draw, you either get a prick or a half decent human being.
I never paid the noise violation ticket, spoke to a few people who said if my car is stock, it will be thrown out.

What’s hilarious about this story is that the State Ref wants the owner to MODIFY a STOCK vehicle so they can re-test. Lol, classic.
