Really? Wow thats pretty high! The trans ones are a pretty good size into solid aluminum castings i guess. The engine oil drain i wasnt expecting that high.
Sorry i was thinking 14ft lbs, that the filter itself.
actually, I rechecked and the filler for the transfer case has two specs... I don't know why.

I actually saw a a website that said our oil filter is P/N 90915-YZZN2, I found The source and it was referencing the GR Yaris View attachment 7424
. I called my local parts department and they said that the GR filter was the N1.
for that price, I'll stick to the n1 😅

Anyone note the thread diameter and pitch for the transmission drain plug that didn't have a magnet? Or a part number to cross to another model that uses it and might have a magnetic one listed?
that i dont know. it did use the same gasket as the filler. but i dont know if the bolts themselves are interchangable. b/c the p/ns are different; drain: 90341-18085; filler: 90341-18033

That drain number shows it to fit 2019-2021 Toyota Corolla , and if eBay's fit info is to be believed, the Yaris, Corolla and a bunch of others use a M12 x 1.25, so magnetic plugs should be readily available.
I might just chuck mine in the lathe and bore it for a magnet
my other Toyota drain and fill bolts were identical with one having a magnet shoved into it. I should have seen if the filler and drain were the same pitch but the GRC drain doesn't have the cavity for a magnet, but the filler does.

All 3 diff/transfer/transmission use the same M18x1.5.

For both transfer and rear diff, the drain plug can be used for fill. Original non magnet: 90341-18023, Magnet version would use the same as the drain 90341-18051.
For transmission, I can't confirm what type it is, but the thread is still the same. For the fill, it is not magnetized (90341-18033). Common upgrade is to use 90341-18057 from various older automatic transmissions.

Bonus: If you want to change the rear/transfer to 24mm hexhead instead of the stupid inside-hex, 90341-18057 is also compatible as a replacement.

Rear diff drain and fill gaskets: 12157-10010 x2 - M18 ring/donut type
Transfer drain and fill gaskets: 12157-10010 x2
Transmission drain and fill gaskets: 90430-18008 or 90430-A0003 x2 - M18 aluminum flat
For what its worth, both Rear and Transfer drain plugs are magnet equipped. Both are 90341-18051, no need to replace every service.

Just picked up an Oil Filter and ordered this Oil filter wrench. Doing a break in Oil change at 1k and figured this would make it alot easier to get off, the Filter wrench is not an OEM toyota one, but this fits it perfectly.

I like and apperciate nice tools, esp made in USA, but man that looks overkill! I don't know if I would be willing to pay how much that looks like it costs! Esp for a tool that doesn't do a heck of a lot and require a whole lot of precision or strength. The one advtange I see with that versus the cheapo stamped sheet metal ones I use is the socket fitting is deep and precise so it wont easily fall off ratchet/bar like the cheap ones.

I mean it was $26 bucks for that Filter wrench. But to each their own, it does seem well built. I just cant fucking stand when techs put filters on too tight and this seemed like the easiest way to get it off. Who knows mabey ill use it once and return it. But every time I have done a break in oil change the filter is ON SUPER TIGHT and its just awkward to get off.

Really? I consider $26 a decent price, I'd buy that at that price! I was expecting more like $40.

That thing looks like an anvil! But better overkill than under, I reckon. It's a good looking piece though.

Is there somewhere that states the miles/time interval for changing the rear diff and transfer and the transmission fluid out?
I'm at 1k miles now and will be doing a oil change ge here soon. I can't seem to find that info anywhere as to when to change them. Only the recommended oil weights.
