I've never had a car before that produces this much brake dust. I guess it's just the price of admission.

I ran EBC Yellows on my FiST with the Whoosh Calipers . Of course now it was Wilwoods with Wilwood pads.
I was wondering if they made Yellows for the GRC . Probably less money than Endless. Endless has always been exorbitantly expensive . I am sure it’s better now due to the dollar to Yen . Though EBC’s have always been really reasonably priced.

Hmm. Gonna have to retract my post above with 3-10 day shipping I was originally quoted.

They emailed me today and said 6-8 weeks. Wanted to know if I wanted to cancel my order. I told them to proceed with my order.
+1. I just ordered and got the exact same result. I'm hoping it'll arrive sooner, and that they're just trying to under promise and over deliver.

Heard good things about how little dust the Endless SSM PLUS pads produce. Supposedly performance is comparable to stock pads as well. Labeled a "spirited" street pad.
Hopefully will slap them on this weekend and do a dust comparison vs the stock pads and if there is a noticeable difference (positive or negative) in braking performance compared to the stock pads as well. The titanium shims were a bit of an impulse buy. 🤷🏻

Just ordered some Endless SSM plus pads and ACRE titanium brake shims to hopefully significantly reduce brake dust while not sacrificing much performance. Both front and rears is only $211 if ordered from Blackhawk Japan. Shipping to the states was an additional $64. They also sell the ACRE titanium GRY brake shims for $113, which is a bit pricey, but doesnt add much weight when shipped with the Endless brake pads and only added $2 to the shipping. So total shipping for the pads and shims was $66.

The price of the Endless pads even with the $65 shipping charges at $276 is a damn good deal though. If i were to order just the ACRE shims it would have been $113 + $18 for shipping, or if i were to order the other shims from lamspeed, it rould have been $80+$55 for shipping, so basically about $130 USD shipped for either set.

Really only worth getting the shims on Blackhawk if you order some pads as well to save on shipping.

Based on reviews ive read, the dust for the SSM plus pads is significantly reduced from stock on other makes and models.

This is the description (from the Endless website) along with ratings of initial braking, less dust, less noise, feel of pedal, abrasion resistance, and contrallability. These pads graded best in less dust, abrasion resistance, and controllability. Not listed as a track pad, but listed as a street pad for streetuse and windy roads (which is where i will be doing most of the driving anyways). Probably fine to use for occasional track use. Ill do some performance comparisons (along with dust producing conparisons) with the stock pads (as those seem to be fine for occasional track use).

If I feel as performance did not suffer from the brake pad switch, then ill use these for the occasional track days. But if I feel performance was sacrificed for less dust when compared to the stock pads, ill simply just swap back out to stock pads when going to the track.

We are big proponents of ceramic coating the wheels especially when generating lots of brake dust. Ceramic coat in conjunction with frequent cleanings will go a long way for keeping the wheels looking nice. Taking off the wheels to clean them will be the most effective. If you cannot remove the wheels try and use a microfiber wheel brush that can reach trough the wheel spokes and get the entire wheel barrel.

If you are willing to swap to a low dust pad we like iSWEEP IS1500. You can check out the thread below for more info.

I see Carbotech offers 1521 compound pads for GRC. Over $400 for both axles. I mention because I have a set of these on my 86 and they literally don't dust at all.

Unfortunately they squeal when they get hot. Sometimes even just warm. Lots of people swear by them so I'd love to hear how they do for people with GRC. I'm not a big fan of the very gentle initial bite but otherwise very linear modulation. They seem not to wear the rotor almost at all and both will last approximately infinity miles they way it's looking. I guess all energy is turning into heat and.. sound.

I am also a big fan of Akebono OEM pad material. I think GRC's dusts a lot because there is a ton of pad area compared to typical applications of this material. If I could find pads with this compound to fit my 86's calipers I'd buy a set in a heartbeat. Dust be damned.
