Even though a lot of people like to complain the Zupra was just a BMW, I'd rather have that than no Supra at all. Wasn't there a concept MR2 or a spiritual successor or something recently?

Its the joint venture with BMW so im sure that contract to build with them is expiring soon, also everyone who wanted one pretty much bought one already. Happy it was made. It will only continue to go up in value. Hoping the GRC is also a limited run couple year special. Probably will be, seeing as this corolla generation is overdue for a redesign anyways.

I really wanted to love the new Supra. But its like a goddamn coffin sitting inside of one. And driving it around is a nightmare with all these dumb lifted trucks driving around and not being able to see squat out of it.

Toyota completely dropped the ball but not offering a proper T top or pop top panels. IMO.

If they can combine two K Series engines together, I'm sure they can combine 2 G16e engines to make a V6 Supra twin turbo and make it a true Toyota Supra. 600HP, that's plenty for a stock Supra. No more "FRankenStein creationZs". Also throw a G16e (from a GR Yaris/257HP) on a GR86 as well and it will make perfect sense for the GR Toyota sports are lineup.

More likely an inline g16. I’m sure Toyota saved not needing to engineer thier own I6. And hired a fun team to develop our little g16. Anything underpowered or over developed ,with flavor or magically sauced up engineering from Toyota is always fun.

i.e. 4age/20v/Beams/3sgte

heck even the old 2TG engines were awesome with side drafts.

and Puerto Rican 3-TCs were killing it

let’s not forget the LFA and 80 series Land Cruiser, what a gem of engineering touching base on two completely differently platforms of automotive design.

Toyota Can and Has done outlandish things before but we can only dream.
