Looks like there are at least 10 norcal members on the forum that have taken delivery of their GRC so why not start a NorCal roll call and plan meets/drives etc.

I’ll start it off - hello from the East Bay Area!

Bro, I wouldn’t have accepted the car. What they did is fked up. I got my car fresh off the truck with 3 miles on the odo and 5 miles after they filled it up.

Wait, why is everyone so keen on taking their car to the dealership for maintenance? Free oil changes?
Yeah free maintenance interval services for the first 25k miles or 2 years. I personally have never had a new car before and taken my car to a dealership for oil changes (always did them myself) but if they're free, might as well.

Hey yall! I know you guys are located on the upper part of the state, but if yall ever find yourself down here during this time frame we're getting a meet up of the socal owners together! It would be great to have some norcal owners stop in whenever theyre in town!

Whats up guys. Ill be hanging out here this weekend in case any of you are close enough to attend. Super chill morning meet and a lot of great builds to check out. I do suggest going early to get a good spot as it fills up quickly once 8am hits. LMK if any of you are going I'd like to park with you all since I've only seen 1 other owner so far lol.

That is why I decided on the SXTH Element midpipe due to this. I think the best upgrade from stock is APEXi but then that is just based on the videos. In person is way different.
Hopefully you get to hear it in person. Let me know I would be interested to hear it too and compare it with your AWE.

The car is a blast in the snow with CC2s.
However Caltrans stopped me saying this car doesn't come with AWD, and I was adamant that this new Corolla model has AWD. He asked me to prove it, so I tried doing a burnout with TC off but it had so much grip that it just stalled haha (it was also 2am because CA-50 was closed and I was barely online) He let me past because from past experience FWDs will absolutely wheelspin with that hard of a launch. I also learned you have to hold down ESC to get the TC all the way off.

I'm not sure what documentation I should provide for next time...

What’s the go-to dealership in the Bay Area? Looking to get my “first” oil change done and hopefully an alignment covered under warranty. Stevens Creek is closest to me so I was just going to go there but wanted some input from others.

Avoid Toyota Sunnyvale. Went in for an oil change, and they didn’t do the oil change.
Didn’t even say sorry.

SC dealers are notorious for having lots of ADM and having a “fuck off if you can’t pay” attitude since the clientele is rich. Especially like Porsche.

I’d just take it there and double check everything.

Bummer… @hatsunearu any details? I’ve been doing all my own fluid changes bc I don’t trust dealers, but I was counting on Sunnyvale as a plan B based on @Tonka ’s experience below

I’m happy to report that I had a great experience with Sunnyvale Toyota’s service department. A few of the employees there own GRC’s, everyone was super friendly and seemed to know what they were doing. Bonus points for the Morizo sitting in the showroom to stare at while I waited. They brought my car out, didn’t do any “road test” bs, didn’t wash it as I had as

Maybe I should give them another try, but the service advisors were rude, lacking in empathy, and lacking in empathy experience.

The person must have thought my oil change interval was 1yr/10k which is all other Toyotas, and didn’t order an oil change for my car. I talked to the manager as to why there was no mention of oil change in the receipt, and they said to come back next time, which I guess is an appropriate response, except not a word of apology was given.

Just read the reviews and avoid the knuckleheads I guess? It’s kind of a crapshoot.

I’m very confident in my wrenching abilities since I work on my track car, so I don’t mind missing out on dealer work which I am almost confident that I will do a better job than them.
