Anyone in NorCal have the Magnaflow exhaust on an otherwise stock car? Looking into getting one as my AWE Touring is too loud for my taste, but would love to hear it in person before plunking down the cash.

That is why I decided on the SXTH Element midpipe due to this. I think the best upgrade from stock is APEXi but then that is just based on the videos. In person is way different.
Hopefully you get to hear it in person. Let me know I would be interested to hear it too and compare it with your AWE.

So you have stock catback plus catless midpipe? I'm looking to get rid of the stock 2100rpm resonance/boominess but ok with it being a little louder elsewhere in the rev range. Don't think a midpipe would help the resonance, might even make it worse?

Totally random but has anyone taken the GR Corolla to chain controls at Tahoe before, with snow tires but no chains installed? I've heard Caltrans will not let you through if they think your car isn't "worthy".

I haven’t taken mine up but Ive chatted with a white CE owner on snow tires, should be no issues. This car is on par w any subie that goes up and I’m sure CHP knows

The car is a blast in the snow with CC2s.
However Caltrans stopped me saying this car doesn't come with AWD, and I was adamant that this new Corolla model has AWD. He asked me to prove it, so I tried doing a burnout with TC off but it had so much grip that it just stalled haha (it was also 2am because CA-50 was closed and I was barely online) He let me past because from past experience FWDs will absolutely wheelspin with that hard of a launch. I also learned you have to hold down ESC to get the TC all the way off.

I'm not sure what documentation I should provide for next time...

I feel like showing them the rear diff and axles should be plenty to prove it’s AWD.

saw some dude on CA-88 last Sunday around 5pmish in a Black core (unsure) with a rooftop box that saw me and flashed highbeams to presumably say hi, and we split off somewhere on CA-88.
wonder if you're here!

San Francisco checking in.

Picked up a GRC Premium March 25, 2024 from SF Toyota @ MSRP.

Looking to do a car meet at Lake Merced Parking Lot or at WestLake shopping center in Daly City.

You mean March 25th? haha

Do you have a flyer? Have you hosted car meets before?
* March haha.

Never hosted but it would be cool to meet some GR owners. I think the Westlake spot would be better since there is food spots and a Starbucks. I’ve been to a few car meets there and it’s been chill every time.
