Damn it, out of one ticking time bomb and into another!

But in all seriousness, my car is supposedly unaffected by being produced a couple months after the fix was applied to the production line.

Time will tell.

I was listening to Jason Cammisa's podcast while working, and felt euphoric levels of validation upon hearing his opinion of GR Corolla vs. Veloster N (and Golf R). Please no ban.

No one is banning people for liking other cars, in a certain circumstance we had to help someone over to another forum because they were essentially trolling every thread on here. 😂

On that topic this GRC is in the same realm as its grandfathers. It’s going to be pretty good out the box but you’ll need to modify them/push them in the direction you want it to go. (Track car, rally car, touge carver etc)

That was tongue-in-cheek, haha. I didn't actually think you were going to Tronic me.

At the end of the day, the GRC is the more special, more desirable car, but hearing someone as qualified as Cammisa give such high praise to my backup plan car took the sting out of my supposedly MSRP dealer turning greedy and effectively reneging on our agreement this week.

Backtracking the podcast episode to 1:04:08 actually provides some useful insight into how the GRC drives compared directly to the MK7.5 Golf R, and to a lesser extent, the new RS3.

I don’t know who that is 🤔

Anyways yeah it’s good, I like that Toyota left room on the table for modifications though. Some cars are so refined

He's one of the best automotive journalists in the game, in my opinion. Actually knows how to wheel, isn't a sell-out, and helps produce some of the highest quality Top Gear-like videos today. Check out the production value of this video (which is still on-topic for this thread because there's a Hyundai N car in it):

I’m talking about the Tronic guy 😂

Jesus Christ, here I was thinking I was indoctrinating you into the glorious Cult of Cammisa but really I was just making a fool of myself. I like you guys, I think I'll stick around even if I can't get a GRC before they're gone.
I love Cammisa man. He’s straight forward for better or worst and I respect that. His take on the GRC is actually a good analysis. A lot of other people just say “it’s amazing!” Like TheDrive’s recent written review saying “I met God and it’s the GR Corolla.” Lmao.

Haven't been on the forum in a while, Tronic got banned? I know he wasn't the most reasonable guy and had some strange opinions, but what exactly did he say to warrant a ban?

Same with Maverick1, lol. They were just suddenly gone.

Without getting too deep into it.

Reports for those that don’t know, is the biggest thing that influences decisions. In reality if we get a bunch of reports on someone from the community we have to act. (Out of fairness to those people) and it has to be frequent or blatantly bad to warrant a ban.

Some seem to just dip as well, like @Jeonsa said in the past- now that we have all the info on the GRC it's less appealing to some. I remember another guy who commented LENGTHY shit on here (always good takes tho) but then he just disappeared. He was big on the N line as well lol

I think the moderators should let the members know specifically what rules they broke, before been banned instead of just freezing a members account, and especially if they will completely kick out a member of this forum.
I think they should reinstate both Tronic and Maverick1, as they both made entertaining contributions to this forum.
Moderators need to allow more freedom in this forum.

Nah. I'm sure their reasoning was warranted, I've personally been warned a few times. It's not a willy-nilly decision and warnings are given. This ain't a FB group lol
