Holy shit if that’s accurate that’s a HUGE delay. There’s still at least one article stating CE pricing was 43.9 as well

Here’s what you’ll have to pay for the hottest #ToyotaCorolla ever! The 2023 @toyotausa #GRCorolla in the Core trim will start at $35,900! That’s right, under $36k for a 300 HP, 6-speed MT, AWD rally car from the factory! The #GRCorollaCore will be the first trim available starting this Fall. Buyers can add a Performance ($1,180), Technology ($770), and Weather package ($500) to the Core trim. The Circuit trim will be available in the Spring of 2023 and will start at $42,900. It includes the equipment from the Core along with all 3 option packages and adds a more aggressive body kit, a forged carbon fiber roof, and an alcantara/leather interior. The track-ready Morizo edition is the priciest and will also be available in the Spring. The huge time difference between nov and spring means we won’t know ce/me allocations at core time? Who’s taking the risk of waiting for a ME and then not getting any trim at all? Hahaha

WAIT... those packages are WAY under the price I had. And I thought I was pushing it. $1180 for the Performance Pack!?

This is as good as done for me and I was already on board with the leaked pricing. The pricing is very good all around.

 

This article states the cold weather package will indeed be heated cloth seats and not the suede ones plucked from the CE/ME.

Very happy about the option prices for the Core, even fully optioned plus destination charge, it stays under $40k...

Not interested in a ME, but the fact that there is an additional price for both exterior colors is pretty shady. At least offer the windchill pearl with no added cost, as I can see the matte finish costing extra.

 

Yeah... I wasn't expecting a car already offered in so few colors to ask for more money for some of them. I'll probably be hunting a white to keep my fully loaded price at/under $40k.

Toyota gave you the info and somehow people are saying different things.

 

The performance pack is so cheap that I don't see why it isn't standard. Who would ever choose not to get it?

 

Probably a marketing thing to say the car starts at $36k. Plus, it'll be nicer for people upgrading diffs anyway to be able to get a Core without PP

 

Yeah, not pleased with the final pricing. I would actually go with a core except I don’t want to pay that much for a car with fabric seats and matte plastic grill. The Circuit is over-priced at 44k (all included) for a hood, carbon roof, and leather seats. Essentially leather seating is locked behind a 4K paywall. While I’m sure, some will argue that it’s the roof that’s making it so expensive, the VW Golf R is 45k and has the same performance, more storage and interior room, and a much more posh interior then the Circuit. I can’t see buying a car of this caliber with cloth seats, they really should have offered that in an optional package on the Core.
So at this point, I’m in a bad position because even my maxed price was exceeded by about 2k. It will literally be down to “how much will all the extra fees be“ before I know if I will get one. I don’t need a car, so it’s still CE or bust for me, and we’re super close to bust at this point. Any ADM would be an insta-bust. So I’m in the unfortunate position of having to go through the entire process to see if things will work out, literally, at the last second.

 

I'm sure "leather" Corolla hatch XSE heated seats bolt right in. Won't have fancy GR logo though. Lol

She just fixed the typo and said it should be Nov 2022. we gewd bois

 

Now I really understand why they need the Core model for the US, if they start from the RZ model like in Japan, it's most likely going to have a starting price of around 44k USD, which will turn off a lot of people.

 

Half the articles are saying $36,995 for Core and $43,900 for Circuit. The other half are saying $35,995 and $42,900. Heck I saw one that says $36,995 and $42,900. What's with all the price confusion? Did they not hand them the pricing directly??? lol

 

Its the destination charge that's the extra $1000 or so. Some are including it, others aren't.

 

All you guys guessing the car would start at 32k need to give up your allocation spots. 😂
