Oh and I like that the inlet routes air to the bottom of the intake. That’s another reason why I’m keeping it…even though it rubs…on my circuit edition (2023) 🥲

The hood is adjustable, but it’s adjusted from the factory, so some may just be adjusted higher than others. That’s my thought.
This sounds reasonable. The point of contact from the bottom front part of the hood to my forge inlet is very small. Less than the size of a pinky nail. Wish my hood didn’t rub though. It would make the inlet that much more tolerable even though the bracket underneath is completely useless on a GRC.

Here’s my pro tips when installing this intake.

If you’re installing the inlet adapter, do yourself a favor and remove the engine cowl. It will make your life a lot easier and it only take a few minutes. There is virtually no room to work with as you can see from the photo I took. I had it removed anyway because I was installing coilovers at the same time.

Lastly, I didn’t like the tension that was put on the vacuum line in step 12 in the instructions. To be on the safe side I used a 90-degree 4mm brass fitting and a 4mm ID high temp silicone vacuum hose. I don’t know if anyone else experienced this or whether it bothered anyone else, but it didn’t sit well with me.

where were you able to source these locally Ace Hardware doesn’t carry metric

part of the reason why it rubs is the alignment where the key stud isn’t going into the slot when it’s sitting straight, it would sit lower if it’s in the slot

It’s hard to tell from their listing, but they offer one that ducks the air to the lower portion just like Forge does and that I’m interested in

Can someone please make a video on how to easily remove the air filter when using forge motor sports products as it seems, it’s to me. It’s very difficult requiring having to loosen a hose clamp and Jostle the thing forward and up.

Having this cover is a great idea. I just think if you’re gonna go to the whole effort of making an integrated piece you would at least address the overlapping joint with the poor quality adhesive foam.

and easy solution would be to mold a flanged square O-ring and have a recess into the overlapping joint and a hose clamp that prevents the flanged O-ring from sliding out, i’m going to be testing this

Sorry to revive an older thread. I read the whole thread but might’ve missed it…

Does anyone have just the Forge Intake (not the snorkel or turbo inlet tube) on a MY25 and have you gotten any CELs? If anyone with a MY25 has gotten CELs have you done the TSB and has it fixed the CELs?

Are people getting more sound with just the intake? Or do you need the turbo inlet tube for good turbo sounds?

And the only hood rubbing issues are from the snorkel right?

Thanks!

I did first get the code when installing the intake only on the 2nd drive cycle. Put the forge turbo inlet on and it went away. Have no idea why.

It needs the inlet pipe to get all the sounds out of it. I had k&n before and sounded louder yes but the forge intake to turbo setup is a symphony in comparison.
