I just went all out and got the one that lights up with the high flow upgraded part.
How you think the $159 one would work? It doesn’t come with the high glow induction kit. I guess that kit “ $159 “ wouldn’t flow air to the lower flap. Just like that kit more because it wouldn’t add the mismatch plastic at the top. Just not sure if I would get much benefit from it. What’s your opinion since you have one of the kit on?

I actually haven't received it yet. I am sure with just the $159 there would be some sort of benefit. But I think it would make a bigger difference having the high flow part also. For me personally, it was a no brainer to go with the one that will benefit the car the best. But if you don't like the look then that's a tough one, I guess the look did not bother me really.

Thanks. Keep us posted on fitment and performance etc 👍🏽.

Ive had the forge intake with snorkel for a few months now, and I have zero issues with it contacting my hood...🤷🏻

I figured out the issue with you some getting rubbing, most people have the core like myself. You have a circuit, more hood clearance! Wow, thanks for helping me figure that out! That’s what’s happening, what a trip.

Hey yall, I think I am going to pull the trigger on on a couple forge pieces (intake and turbo inlet adapter). I just wanted to ask a couple questions before doing so:

-most folks are having issues with the inlet duct, not the turbo inlet adapter, correct?

-the intake and the turbo inlet are the same for the GR Yaris/GRC, correct? Same part numbers and all? Was looking at some shops in the UK that have the parts on sale.

Thanks yall!

You are correct, no issues reported and they are the same parts. The only reason why there is an issue with using that air inlet thing on some of the GRC's are due to clearance. If you have the Core it will hit the inside of the hood and damage the part as well as remove paint from the hood. If you have the Circuit or Morizo, problem solved, as it has that hood bulge which allows the part to clear and not make contact with the hood.

I have the circuit edition and a very small part of the front Forge snorkel is hitting rubbing on a very small part of the under side of the hood. If you see my pictures and look at the small circular rubber piece, that's about the size. Smaller than a half a pinky nail...but it rubs and it sucks. I haven't found a solution that doesn't involve cutting something at the bottom of the bracket.

Installed the Forge Motorsport intake and Turbo inlet yesterday. Feels more responsive and sounds awesome. View attachment 8310

I'll take some more pics eventually
Just curious if you had to install the turbo inlet to use the intake? I am interested in this only if I can use the stock turbo inlet and snorkel.. Do you get a lot more intake sounds going from the flat panel to a cone filter?

OMG....I double checked the MAF and it was fine. I unplugged it and plugged it back in. All seemed well. But then I took the negative terminal out...waited a minute...then put it back. When I started the car...just the normal warning about temperatures came on (this one always happens) So all the warnings went away.

So basically, when I was working on the car, I should have removed the connection to the battery. Also, it sounded like my car needed a hard reset to understand the new settings. 🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️🤦‍♂️

So I could have saved so much time and worry, but literally "turning it off and on again; hard reset" - I feel like an idiot. Thank you @G16EGTS. I was feeling like crap today and beating myself up on what I did wrong to the car.
Same thing happened to me recently when just installing the forge intake. P0101, after leaving the battery disconnected overnight it never came back and was just left with p2c90.

You dont have to install the inlet to use the forge intake, just have to use reduction coupler it comes with and it fits fine. You do get more intake noises, a more pronounced induction noise and slightly louder bov. The real sounds come from removing the turbo inlet that has noise chambers removed with the forge turbo inlet.

that’s not true mine rubbed and I have a circuit

I love how they say scan this QR code to download the instructions and there’s no instructions. What the hell, yeah not only does the inlet duct for the airbox rub it doesn’t have the correct bolt pattern for the chassis nothing lines up www with it! at least for me it didn’t. I have to make a custom bracket or something otherwise double-sided 3M sticky tape for now.

I dont remember having to do that for my inlet duct, and mine doesn't rub with my Circuit hood...🤷🏻

I have the circuit edition and bought the complete forge intake system with the inlet. And I can 100% confirm that it does rub. It also doesn’t line up with any holes so the bracket underneath is pointless. I would fit the Yaris perfectly but not the GRC CE in the US (mine). Forge probably did that to get sales but it’s not a perfect fit.

I still kept mine and make a cut around the plastic for it. I put a rubber square on both the hood and inlet to help prevent it. Looks crappy but sounds good. 👍🏽
