have been accumulating for a while as I was waiting for the right CGR, Delta X brace on the left (watched your video Jim and it sold me lol) - most looking forward to the spoiler/morizo wiper delete etc next.

Dang. I really want a set of those OE BBS wheels and the bronze ones that leaked with the GRMN car look great.

I replaced the OE shift and e-brake boots with genuine leather articles with red stitching (to match red exterior) from Redline Goods. I liked the idea of playing off the red exterior with the stitching, but when ordering forgot that the e-brake handle and seats have a chalk colored stitch to them. I don't think many will notice the clash when they sit in the car, but if I was doing again I'd probably get a stitch color to match what's already in the car.

The feel of these is very nice. The stitching seems to be done well, and the leather is appropriately thick with a beautiful grain. Service was very fast, there is a ton of customization you can do to taste, and install was very manageable requiring some patience but no special tools or skills. I would note that the shift boot is plug and play, but the e-brake boot requires some additional work either stapling or adhering/gluing the new boot to the plastic trim ring that holds it. I used double sided carpet tape, and it was a great solution. Not hard to do, but requires you to craft something up on your own.

Went to Watkins Glen International yesterday! Had a blast. Met up with a fellow Northeast GR Corolla members the night before at the Seneca Lodge. Popped my 4wd overheating cherry on the last 2-3 laps on my second session. First time I got to test out flex fuel & the 555 engineering oil cooler on the track. Oil cooler is definitely doing work. On both straightaways at Watkins I was consistently hitting 115-120+ miles an hour. She took the intense braking and 8 hour total round trip like a champion. Ran into Jeff from HEL Performance as well as a few new owners. I think I'm done for track days for now until next year.

Changed my transmission fluid with mt lv a little under 26k. The factory fluid had a lager color to it, but my shifts were getting too notchy.
I replaced my trans fluid a couple weeks ago. I had Redline in it and replaced with the same. I've had two blown shifts in the past week that sounded like synchros begging for mercy, one in second and one in fourth. Not sure what to think about this. 🤨

it's easy to outshift the syncros on this trans, at least third for me, especially with an STS. It's 2025 and I feel that really just shouldn't be an issue, and that's also with brand new MT-LV and only 6k miles now lol.

What makes me feel better is that GRY owners have been complaining about it since debut, but I digress.

It was a truly horrible sound both times. I guess ya gotta shift gently, then hammer the throttle. 🙄
Definitely not a 1/4 mile car, but I already knew that. 😉

Yeah 100%. Annex was on the top of my shortlist for a while until I heard that KW makes the most durable coilovers. I also worry about having to rebuild them down the road. This car is my daily and I dont have another car so it being out of commission for a week or two or longer would hurt.
I went with Annex and they're a dream to drive on the road and the track. They ride better than the stock shocks over our terrible Louisiana roads and can be turned up to really provide strong support on the track.

I had some similar problems where I feel like my car wasn't building boost properly after I had installed the forge turbo inlet and associated piping + cold air intake. I double checked everything and it seemed fine. Although I did notice that one of the rerouted vacuum lines (one that ran back into the vacuum solenoid) had a bit if a pinch in it that mightve been restricting.

Send us a photo of the vacuum lines to see how you hooked it back up. Maybe there's a kink or leak happening somewhere.

Could also just be that MAF is getting different (way higher) air readings and is pulling timings because of it. I'd like to get a tune at some point too to see if it wakes my car up after these bolt ons.
I actually did some searching this morning and found the issue. A vacuum cap wasn't sealing properly on the factory airbox solenoid. I bought a cap and it's been running steady since.

Good to hear that you found out the issue!

Ill have to continue my research into Ammex coilovers but yeah if they can withstand canadian winters then they'd be a strong contender for sure.
