does anyone know if the GR has the same interior as the 2019-2021 HB corolla? if so dyna performance already has a carbon interior kit available
Looking through a bunch of google images and all the CF pieces that are out there for a standard Corolla HB, it looks like most of the interior pieces will fit. I saw CF pieces for the vents, door pulls, windows/mirrors panel, charger pad area trim, and a few others around the interior. Looks like you might be able to piece it together for some carbon bits all throughout the interior👍

I'm almost 100% sure 20+ Corolla hatch interior pieces will mix and match on our cars. Biggest difference is the 23+ entertainment system. 23+ lost the buttons and a knob. Our steering wheel and center console is GR specific.

so do yall think this would work

theres also this option

Everything should fit aside from the center console. The radio surround looks further enough to the edge the difference shouldn't matter.

I'll edit my post above. 😁

Agreed, looks good to me besides the center console. Looks like a nice kit!

This is a converted Core and you installed the gloss grill right? I could be wrong but I heard that the rear gloss grill part # doesn't include the circular cover thing on the passenger side. Can you confirm this? You got the part # for the cover?
part number for CE/ME that the dealer got me is 52162-12080 but it came matte black.
Part number I order from I think an XSE is : 52107-12170 and it came painted gloss black but kinda moves around in the hole.

Also how do you like the diffusor, I tried to grab one of the seven but they were sold before I could get ahold of them
the diffuser is nice makes car look more aggressive in the rear in my opinion, already tapped the fins backing into my driveway 😬😬
Only thing that sucked is since I have an aftermarket exhaust the slot that is supposed to fit the stock exhaust is too small, so I had to grind down at least an inch over so it wouldn’t rub.

Took me awhile but finally put this in. Ordered it before I even had the car but had to wait a long time for it to arrive and had to modify the reverse lockout so hadn’t found the time to tear apart the interior again. Pretty happy with how it turned out.

Added some heat tape to the clutch pack temp sensor. Hopefully this helps when I do some planned spirited driving on Saturday...

Amazon link, for anyone who wants it
Note the last pic shows metal zip ties, but those were NOT included.

What it looks like:

Since access is so limited, and this is adhesive backed, I guessed at how much I'd need. Here is the length I did for the first wrap, appx 3" or so
Image

First wrap applied. There is something above (wires?) that prevented me from fully wrapping the top, but the heat is coming from below so that shouldn't be a problem.

Some is good, more is better, so I added 2 more layers on the exhaust side, appx 2" in length

Finished product.

and yes, I installed the vent hose after I took the last pic lol

I have yet to inspect it after it heat cycles, but I don't think there will be any issues. The tape is made for underhood items but it's rated to 600°F, and it expressly says not for exhaust (which I'm obviously not doing), so there shouldn't be a problem, but I will climb under it later today and check.

There's someone running gridlife track battle that has done this mod, so far no 2wd mode, he's on stickier 255 rt660 and he took first in class in the most competitive class. I wanna do this mod, but I dont want the fluid to go over 212F and not have the sensor triggered...

It's not tricking the sensor or anything. The sensor is supposed to measure the temp of the clutch pack, but the sensor itself is getting heated by the exhaust which is changing the reading. All this mod does is add a heat shield around the sensor.

I'll be the first to admit, Toyota should have never put a temperature sensor on the exhaust side 😂 when I triggered 2wd mode, the non exhaust side temp decal read 199F. My thinking is having that 12F over head, to do another lap, is it worth it for a sealed fluid that's not serviceable? I haven't gone into 2wd on the streets, only the track. But I'll put the tape on, that was my plan, and log the temperatures and see if it's just tricking the sensor bc the sensor doesn't sit in the fluid.

I need to get me some of that wrap.

According to the listing I bought the sequentials from, theyre the 20+ HB Corolla ones but they do fit the GR. Here
It's still untested by me, so I can't say if it makes a difference or not
