I got to say that I am far more impressed with this tune that I originally thought. I have a 2025 Manual model with absolutely zero other engine modes and I just got the Ecutek and an off the shelf tune from Graham through boosted performance in cooperation with Limit1+.

I was too focused on just the dyno charts posted on Limit 1+ on the Corolla GR under tuning section. I see that they had an E-Venturi when they did their maps (93 and E-40 tune) and their gains were great on paper.

Well, lets me just give it to you, I only ordered a 91 oct map and a E-30 map and it is a complete game changer. It is absolutely a significant performance upgrade and keep in mind that I don't even have a single bolt on, not even a drop in filter.

I downloaded the 91OCT map first and I was like WOW!!, it is significantly improved. Not only the throttle response but the torque, boost is improved. The boost stays stronger (holds higher) towards the redline. I drove around for 50 miles or so before switching to the E-30 map and the E-30 map is also impressive although in my opinion not as big of a jump between 91oct to E-30 as it was from completely factory stock map to tuned 91oct map.

First and second just happens so fast. It pulls hard. Also the midrange is so improved, you punch iin 4th at 45 mph or 50 and it picks up speed fast. The top end is strong for what it is (1.6l engine). It changes the game, next time I think we can actually leave the car in third gear in a few road track course turns/curves that we were going into second gear before. A couple of turns into the low 40's MPH now can be tackled in third gear.

My car suppose to be prone to the P2C90 because it is a 2025 model. So far no issues but will report if anything pops. In all honesty, I am so happy with this tune that I am not even pursuing anything else, I find it a great balance of smoothness , quietness(from stock filter box) and a ton of torque and plenty of power felt. I have a dragy and I took a 30-80 MPH measurement 2-3 months ago when it was still hot and stock. I will go out and compare the numbers and start taking data.

This little car carrries a punch. I recommend the tune. Ona different note, I am new to ECUTEK tunes, not the brand itself which I have known for like 20 years. Compared to other recent and current tunes that I have on other recent cars I find it a little bit more time consuming to download the ECUTEK files. I wasn't able to switch files without having to go back to stock first then reloading the desired file, ie: 91OCT or E-30. On other tuning devices like unironic, Hondata flash pro or Cobb AP I was able o just pick a tune from the list and just do the switch directly and not having to go through the stock file.

Other than that I am just to new to this platform and this Ecutek so I will be picking up the pace. In summary, great tune, highly recommend it. Thanks to Kevin from Limit 1+, he answered every single phone call and returned my messages, great customer service. Thanks to graham for what he is doing on this platform.

** UPDATE from my newest E-50 map on post #12 below from today Sep 24th 2025. Just do it!!!

I just got my base map from Graham (2024 with SXTH intake, Forge turbo inlet piping with Racer X inlet, RK Ti charge pipes w/ throttle body elbow, Jackson CSF intercooler, OTL dp, RK Ti single exit catback). I cant wait for the next revision and see how the car really performs, like you said the drivability and ease of low end power without bogging has been night and day. I have a twisty road with some sharp turns that I have to downshift from 3rd to 2nd to not feel like I'm bogging down just trying to drive easy and not be loud, but with the tune I can stay in 3rd and just use a little throttle (maybe 20-30%) and the car doesn't feel like its fighting to stay moving. Also I noticed passing cars was much easier (when cruising at about 50-60 mph), on the stock tune I would always have to downshift to 3rd or 4th from 5th or 6th and accelerate fairly hard to pass someone at not turtle speeds and with the exhaust setup the car sounds loud and I know some folks probably thought I was a Jerk passing with how loud my exhaust is. Now I can stay in 5th gear (I spend most of the time in 4th or 5th gear just cruising around) and ease on the throttle (not getting into LSPI) and pass at a reasonable pace and not be super loud. People love to camp in the left lane around me doing exactly the limit or just under so being able to pass in the right lane without giving the car a ton of rpm has been amazing. I'd talk to graham about the tune switching, I thought you could change the map without having to use your phone, just use the steering wheel buttons to change the tune.

^^ Yes. The instant response along with more torque in the midrange is so noticeable. You don't have to downshift, it just feels strong even at partial throttle. I can't even imagine the difference between your car and mine since you have a lot of good bolt ons and my car is literally bone stock other than the tune.

For someone that is reading your comment and your comment I would say that even with zero mods you wouldn't be disappointed. The tune is so promising specially knowing that you still have many bolt ons that can complimenting it. It is crazy how much stronger the tune makes this car, the dyno charts from limit one can be deceiving because if they are making supposedly 33 whp extra with the E-venturi and a 93 octane map I can assure anyone that even on the 91oct map and no EVenturi the difference is night and day. Who knows, I might just benefit from the higher blend that I normally use which is like adding 2 galons to the other wise stock car on the 91oct files, it might have an effect as a 93 oct fuel.

It’s $600 for tune and $700 for Ecutek :) the future tune adjustments are priced pretty well at $150 and $350 for Flexfuel.

Graham is an amazing tuner for these cars. He remotely tuned my E30 Flexfuel with bigger turbo and aftermarket cams. The car feels incredibly strong and I’ve logged 10k miles on his tune (12,000 miles if you count when I was stock turbo/cams).

You are welcome. I think that reviews like mine with undecided people can make a difference. I am thinking of the GR Corolla owners from the Southwest that can only get the CA,AZ,NEV 91 oct gas and if you know you know what I am talking about. The CA, AZ NV 91 Oct is even lower tier than the rest of the country 91 oct however, at least here in Tucson we get the gas on the gas pumps with the sticker that says: "This Fuel contains a minimum of 10 Ethanol "

Basically I am just sharing feedback from people that wish to just keep a simple power increase-bump.

Have you made any log files (3rd gear pulls) and sent them to Boosted? Graham and I have been working through an issue on my MT25, the car is limiting the boost. Graham has been super helpful, even on Sunday morning!
We have loaded 11 different tune files to troubleshoot the boost issue. You may want to send a log of your car to check performance. I am only using an MST v2 intake and 93oct. So far the car has been feeling pretty good!

No I haven't. I am happy with what I have and I don't want the hassle of having to do the logs. I figure that since I am stock with no other mods it should deviate although I live in a crazy state with temperature variations of 85 degres and I am at a little bit of altitude. I am surprised that I haven't triggered the P2C90 CEL yet.
on a different note, do you know how many maps/files can the ECUTEK hold/store? like 2? 5 ? 10?, what I mean with that is : 91oct map, another map being a 91 oct with CAI and IC , another being like a E30 tune with CAI and no exhaust, etc, etc.

Folks, this is another update. I also got the E-50 file and let me tell you that this is getting ridiculous. This E-50 map absolutely rocks!!! It is crazy how noticeable this file is, the car boost really fast and the throttle response and overall response is impressive.

I personally have a lot of experience over the last 2 decades using Methanol/Alcohol injections and later E-85 on other cars but let me tell you that this simple way of making power is very appealing. What I mean with this is that you don't even have to change the injectors, everything is stock except the E-50 file and it transforms the car performance.

On a different note, the P2C90 CEL has not popped up yet. Today was 100 degrees here in Arizona and the car feels strong, I can't wait to see how the car will do on colder temps.

Overall and for the third time saying it, I am legitimately impressed. The 91 oct map was great, the E-30 was also great and this E-50 map is very strong. I have dragy so I want to do some 30-80 MPH pulls. Also thanks again to Kevin at Limit 1+ for returning my phone calls and messages and thanks a lot to Graham the tuner from boosted performance because he definitely knows how to tune these cars.

Just do it!!! Highly recommend it.

So I am writing today after doing a very long back to back data-logs and sending them to Graham for reviews. Graham is working with Ecutek to resolve an issue affecting some GR corollas not meeting the desired boost.
Yesterday I did 3 data-logs on the E-50 map while the car was very low on gas(less than 25 miles, came home and adjusted the fuel mixture to get a E-30, then did 3 more data logs. Drove the car for about an hour and got the tank almost completely empty(pass the 0 mile range), for the message of "please refuel). filled up with 12.9 gallons of 91 Oct and did 3 more data-logs and sent it to Graham.

We forgot to bring the dragy but I downloaded the footage of my windshield camera that has GPS and I measure the time to do the 30-80 mph (third gear pulls) and we were getting very low 6 second 30-80 mph in third gear with 2 driver and passenger at 90 degrees temp and 2500ft. The E-50 map is a total beast!!! On the E-30 map we were getting mid to high 6 secs (30-80 mph) and we got low 8 sec on the 91 oct map.

I would need to go back and do some testing with dragy but I have a very good idea on how fast this car is, very impressive.

I just did a round trip of 760 miles and got 30.6 mpg average. Most of the trip (I would say 85%) was interstate. I set my cruise control at 79-80mph but I had a dash camera that was displaying 75 MPH for the most part and sometimes 76 mph. A/C on 95% of the trip and two people(driver and passenger). This was on Graham's 91oct tune.

This car has now almost 8500 miles in just 4 months and I love every bit of it. Graham just sent me a Rev 2 of the 91oct map and it is very strong. I did a 6.6 sec and a 6.7 sec 30-80mph in third gear with dragy.

First 4 runs (in the 7's) are the car completely stock on 91 oct tune. 30-80mph in third.
a first was 7.28 sec, second was 7.49 sec, third was a 7.69 sec. Then I cruised for 2 minutes slowly at 60 mph and did a forth and last one and did a 7.16 sec. Average of all 4 runs on stock map 91oct gas was 7.405 sec.

Then went home and switched maps. For some reason my phone doesn't display the maps but my son's phone ECUTEK app works great so I swapped to 91 oct Rev 2 tune that Graham sent me and went and ran on the same spot (road) and did a 6.70 sec on the first pull, then a 6.87 sec cooled off for 3 minutes and did a third and final run of 6.65 sec. Average of these 3 pulls on 91 oct tuned(Rev 2) was 6.74 sec.

Folks, this is on no other mods, not a single bolt on. I am still sending more logs to Graham, he is working with Ecutek to resolve some issues with some random cars not hitting targeted boost. My car feels very strong. Please note that I am at 2445 ft elevation and the DA was around 4800ft .

I don't mean to hijack this thread but does anyone have a sense of what the horsepower and torque gains at the crank are from the Ecutek flash with the 91 octane map and an Eventuri intake? Would the usual 15 percent loss factor still apply? Thanks!
