Finally got around to installing these. Currently only installed the driver's door. Working on the rest. It's a nice, subtle change.
Before
After
Close up
Doesn't go from edge to edge of the area, but at least it's the bottom that has missing coverage.
What's puzzling is there are obviously 4 pieces. One for each door. However, the kit only comes with one prep pad and one adhesion promoter pad. I had to find 3 more adhesion promoter pads, and am just using diluted IPA in place of the prep pad.
Installation is basically a one shot deal, so measure a few times. I followed the installation guide by making an outline after holding up the piece to the door. That also serves where to wipe the adhesion promoter. I started at the top of the speaker and aligned it there, holding out the other end of the piece and using my other hand to push down and smooth out the piece.
Overall, not a bad way to spend some money to make the interior look slightly better.
Now onto putting the other 3 pieces on.
