I’m kind of hoping they do the next
circuit/special editions so it looks just like the RZ from Japan, with the Moriso style wheels that the RZ has.

The RZ wheels look better in my opinion.
  • RZ styled special edition with RZ rims
  • add in center console for storage
  • add in dual zone climate control
  • eventually add in Moriso torque as standard across all models.
  • bring the pearl white and smoke paint colors as options on special edition

The Formula Drift GRC is a 4 banger I thought. Just had the GRC body kit
Yep, the 2AR-FE, commonly found in the Camry, Scion tC and RAV4, plus their GRC looking drift car is just the regular Corolla hatchback that they've been running for years already, just modified to look like the GRC for advertisement purposes.

Lols of things that would be cool but here are the ones I think could actually happen:

-dual zone climate
-improved center audio/nav display. Possibly to fill up more of the space with screen rather than that huge border of blank space. Probably some other hardware and software stuff I don’t know much about.
-will get soft door cards from the standard corolla
-CE interior as option
-small power bump for final 2 years
-gear ratio change sometime may or may not be with power bump
-damper changes each year
-overall maybe two additional special editions over the generation, replaces circuit pack, morizo I could see going or continuing with that name and becoming much more track dedicated or not change much at all.

I wonder if the CE gets the soft touch door panels? I know they will be different with the red stitching, but will the still be the hard plastic?

I believe so. I think Redline Reviews mentioned it in their review of the car at Utah back in the summer.

As far as speculation:
Based on the Civic Type R getting a surprise price bump to $43k and the Circuit Edition being one model year only, I think we see some reconfiguring of options on the GRC. I think this because the pricing of the base model core seemed very deliberate to undercut the CTR and the expense of tooling for the hood and carbon fiber roof really isn't logical for only 1500 CEs and then 200 MEs per year. So maybe we see the core pick up the technology package and cold weather as standard along with a base price increase due to overall demand. Not a big jump, but a bit. $38,800 after destination as the starting price. Performance package adds the vented hood. Set this at $42,000. So less than a Circuit currently, but more than a loaded core currently. You're getting the vented hood that wasn't available before, so you're getting something out of the cost up. Add a carbon package that does the carbon roof, the nicer seats, spoiler, and some carbon interior pieces. $44,900 after destination. Practically no change to the Morizo.

Those are the sedan seats. You’d have mismatched front and rear. The Softex on my Corolla HB was not very supple. The inset cloth was a lighter grey color. I’d describe it more as durable than nice on the faux leather scale. I expect the bolstering is quite different between the two as well. It was fine in the HB but did not feel like sports car seats at all.

I kind of see the hood and roof remaining exclusive to later special editions that come with an exclusive color, basically later year CE's. The core maybe they will reduce packages. The torque bump might become standard across all trims. The ME largely unchanged, maybe more carbon bits, unless they do a GRMN C and drop the ME in favor for that. But how many people will drop the coin for the same treatment the GRMN Y in a GRMN C? That might end up Japan only.

I could definitely see them doing a TRD Pro style trim where it gets an exclusive color each year. There's usually a practical element to the colors they choose. Most of the Pro colors were previous FJ colors. Motomachi currently makes the GR Corolla, GR Yaris, Crown, bZ4x/solterra, and Mirai as far as I'm aware. Not surprising that the Crown, bZ4x, and Mirai are also available in white, supersonic red, black, and heavy metal. Crown also has mag grey and a horrible bronze color... neither of which bring much to the table in the Corolla. That hydro blue on the Mirai, though. It's no blue flame but it might look proper on the GRC.

I wish manufacturers offered paint choices for their "special" cars. Like literally pay an extra fee and choose any color that the manufacturer ever offered. Audi does something similar, not sure of the extent of choices though.
Offer this option for all the GR cars and maybe the F badged Lexus cars.
Not only will it allow the customer to have his/her own unique "special" Toyota, but would also pay off in the long term if the car ends up being a collectible. Imagine having a 1 of 1 (customer picked factory color) MK4 manual supra with low miles. Wouldn't be surprised if it fetched half a million at auction somewhere.

I'd love more choices in paint but that'd also require Toyota to let us order the damn cars 😂

I'm also unconvinced by color combo rarity. I always thought it was funny how used German car listings are like "Yes the exterior is grey and the seats are black, but the stitching is a different shade of black so technically this car is 1:1 🤓" I'm sure for exotic colors it can be interesting but I'm not into the whole thing, personally :p

100% automatic transmission they built just for the GRC and Yaris. They already teased in on the GR IG:

Would be cool if some of the nicer options on the JDM version made in on, like the HUD and maybe some interior trim to make it on par with the Golf R and Civic R. I'd love to see a different red too.
That would be cool! I would want a dual clutch. I have a VW DSG now, nothing compares with those crisp ultrafast shifts.
