Did you get the Racer X short shifter in yet? I like the design over the Forge.
sorry I completely missed this message. I have both the short shifter and bearing installed in my vehicle and it definitely removed alot of the slop in the shift.

My bad!

Man y'all must like a stiff shifter or something. What is this slop you guys feel? I bet its nothing compared to a WRX shifter, which had more than an inch of play. I feel like the stock shifts are pretty damn nice compared to other vehicles.

I've owned a STI and agree the stock GRC is much better but the shifter does feel crazy better to me with the short shifter

I mean comparatively its a nice shift, theres just alot of travel when it comes to movement vs actually being put into gear. AKA SLOP = sloppy shifting feeling than a solid shift into gear. which happens when there tolerances are either off or the shifter itself has some play within it.

Keep in mind I changed my short shifter about 3-4 months into ownership, now it shifts more akin to my driving style. I dont set up my car for other people I set it up for myself. Im glad you enjoy the stock shifter but it felt off for me.

I wouldn't say that stock feels super sloppy, but still not as tight and precise as I would like it to. Granted, I like a really short and tight gearbox and have the Forge short shifter set at the shortest setting. Most other people I've talked to say it feels too short for them.

Gotta give Speed Industry a bad rating. Ordered some stuff from them and its taking over two weeks for shipment with communication being lackluster. They seem to have a nice site and good selection but shipping is very very slow.

I spoke to their support before purchasing and communication has been pretty good.. I did not go ahead with the purchase as the price changed like overnight and they quoted me some $400 dollars more so yeah there's that.

When is the cat back getting released??? Ive been anxiously waiting

Had two positive orders from GR Performance Parts because my bank won't let limit+1 orders go through for some reason. Arm rest kit was drop shipped from SXTH Element, SXTH intake came from them. Waiting on my short shifter (comes tomorrow), and AWE Touring (backordered until the end of the month). Came with Hichew which is my absolute favorite :D

The Rockville, Gaithersburg and Antwerpen dealers in Maryland SUCK, and would never recommend. Asked for parts at these places, oh no we cannot get them. Turns out the Parts Warehouse is the same for all dealers in MD. Laurel folks said, "You want your parts by Noon today"? Got them same day! They do not match price of other dealers unless they are in the same region. That sucks, but now I know where to get the parts I cannot find at other places.
