Hello everyone, When I first got this car I realized there's one thing the JBL sound system lacks, bass! So one of the first things I set out to do was figure out how I wanted to install a subwoofer in this car. I wanted a compact subwoofer that wasn't going to consume the space in my trunk. In my previous car, I installed a Kicker hideaway under the driver seat and it was ok, but it didn't hit the deep dynamic sounding lower frequencies of a larger subwoofer. So I researched what I could do to get the best of both worlds, and that's when I found the JBL fuse! The fuse features shallow drivers and passive radiators that are mostly compact, which was supposed to offer deep bass (and I can say having these installed in my GR Corolla for months now, they do). They're not really that compact, but considering the GR Corolla has two cavities in the trunk, I thought those would be perfect to split the Fuse up and put one on each side:

I meant to write this months ago but never got around to it, so here's the schematic I made of all the connections:

GRConnoisseur made a more in depth tutorial of making these connections on his page , so I won't go in depth but I did pretty much the exact same as he did (wish I would've waited until he posted so I didn't have to research everything). But he actually has the amp schematics for the pinoutof the JBL factory amp which is awesome! Main difference that I saw was that he tapped into the front speakers whereas I tapped into the rear speakers (I'm sure both are fine, I haven't noticed any filters blocking the lower frequencies of the rear output). Another note I have my amp stored in the foam (happen to fit perfectly in one of the pre cut slots, so I just put some velcro on it to stay in place, I used the same JBL A3001 amp). I also used a cable puller to pull the cables from essentially the right rail slot to the rear seat. Here's some pictures of my install:

Cables pulled through carpet (sorry it's blurry)

Lastly with the wiring figured out, I needed to figure out a way for the subwoofer to mount in the side cavities. And this was the most challenging task beacuse designing a model to fit in those side pockets was not easy ( I think I tried 4 designs before I made one I liked). But here's what the final design looked like:

I think that covers everything, if anyone wants the .stl files I will upload them to thingiverse (I won't make anyone else suffer to try and design those mounts)! Feel free to ask any questions of anything I may have forgotten or you want more depth on!

feel free to reshare your photos, they are all still broken from the issues the forums were having with photos.
