Are the 24 BBS forged circuit wheels 8 or 8.5 inches wide?
I thought I saw 18x8 when I tried to zoom in. I tried searching but I couldn’t find what I was looking for.
Thanks all!

8.5 they all come with the same width tire where the Morizzo had 245 Cup 2's.
Adding that sine when I was getting winters the 245's were about $60 cheaper. My local Costco put a slight fight and didn't want to mount a 245 size tire if the car didn't come with it originally  . I just played stupid and said it the special one and it says Morizzo on the shift knob.

Volk 21A 18x9.5+20
Extended ARP studs
Stock suspension and tires 235 40 18 PS4
Still has factory rear spacer
I plan on going with different size tires later, might go a tad taller to fill the wheel wells out more (thinking 255 40 18). Mounted a set of Blizzak WS90 tires on the stock wheels that are 235/45 18 which I'll post once I get those on this winter. Since the winter tires will be taller I don't want to lower the car so it's staying where it sits right now for ride height.

Blizzak WS90 235/45 18 stock wheels with factory rear spacer, I'll try to get better pics once the weather clears but no issues in the couple weeks I've been driving it.

Might be an odd question, but I haven't seen anyone running a 275/35, why? The Morizo comes with 245/40s over the standard 235/40s, and the consensus is that the speedometer is more accurate with the slightly larger tire. I am planning on getting some aftermarket wheels (18x9.5) and most folks seem to run a 265/35 which is almost identical in size to the 235/40 (0.39% smaller) BUT a 275/35 is almost identical to a 245/40 (0.54% smaller).

My friend is going to run that exact tire size on his Apex SM10’s 18x10’s . The correct stock size for the car is 245/40. It’s what our speedos are calibrated too. It really all depends on the persons preferences. My buddy up in the bay had 255/35’s on his Weds . I am most likely buying Apex Sm10’s forged because the price is great and they are strong light proven track wheels and oh they are light! I will be running 18x9 with 245/40’s.

Forgot to post in here.

Did end up with the Fifteen52 Apex RSR 18x9.5 et38 with 15mm spacers up front and rear. Stock 10mm spacer was also left on.
Tires are Continental DSW06 Plus 265/35/18
Lowered on Eibach Pro Kit, no camber arms or bolts

Minor rubbing on big dips or bumps while going fast, same as my previous setup of 18x8.5 et30 (stock size) with 20mm spacers or any 18x9.5 et22 setup.

I'm sure with some camber arms you can get it to be zero rub, but it's a rare occurrence for it to rub, so not worried about it at all.

What lip kit do you have installed?

Looks like the infamous kit?

thanks!

I'd imagine it's not a good choice because the tire is a little too fat for the rim, and it causes the tire to be poorly supported. Ultimately a wider tire can make the car's handling feel spongy, and not actually improve grip. Generally, a slightly wider tire might provide a marginally larger contact patch, but the tradeoff is reduced feedback. Just the opposite is true for a slightly narrower tire, improved feedback but slightly reduced overall grip at the limit. There's obviously a LOT more to this equation and it all goes out the window if you're comparing different tire manufacturers.
1010 tires shows the 8.5" wide rim is outside the fitment range for that width tire.

Apex sm10rs 18x10 et40 square setup.
Pilot sport 4s 255/35
5mm front spacers h&r
20mm rear bolt on spacer h&r
Factory rear studs installed in the front.
Conical shank lugs 11 turns front, 11 to 12 turns rear.

Setup works with oem wheels and oem lugs

I genuinely been wondering that. I read this whole thread wondering why no one has 275 as to why or why not. I see on the tire calculator that 265 is a hair under 235/40 on the speedometer. 275 is closer to 245/40. I just got mine 18x10 and would really appreciate some help. I just need my set up for spirit driving and looks. I want some curb protection and thinking about the Michelin S4. Any help would be appreciated 🙏🏽.

Actually my friend went 275 on his 10.5 Apex SM10’s as it was very close to 245/40 and that’s the tire size our speedos were calibrated for .Yup Morizo has proper tires for the speedo as to why they put the 235/40’s on non Morizo’s only Toyota could tell that decision.

18x9.5 +38 Nankang CR-1 275/35R18.
Completely stock car, no suspension mods, oem spacer untouched. Stock alignment.
Approx 1inch clearance to strut housing, and more to any part of the car at full lock both sides. There is definitely plenty of space to go even wider, I think 285/35 or even 295/35 on 18x10+38 would fit no problem at all - that's how much room I have.

Honestly I think it's the perfect OEM+ size up setup. Speedometer is perfect and identical to stock - reads 100km/h when GPS reads 98km/h which is exactly what it is with stock size. Two extra bonuses that I found out after I had already decided on the wheel/tire: 1) the tire actually says on the sidewall that the perfect wheel size is a 9.5 width, 2) the tire size is perfectly in the middle of core/circuit size vs morizo size in terms of rolling - radius/circumference/total diameter.

Wheels: DRW, D15 wheels, 18x8.0 +40, claimed to be a sturdy 25 lbs each.
Tires: 225/45R18 Studded Nokian Hakkapeliitta snows
Spacers: OEM 10mm rear spacer. I may use a 5mm spacer in the front to get the tire center closer to OE spec, but likely I won't notice the difference with snow tires on.
Rings: 73.1 > 60.1mm aluminum hub centric rings
Comments: These look close to the OEM design. ~6mm of caliper clearance to the spoke, 33mm to strut from inner rim. Unfortunately these are dual drilled wheels and the vendor does not tell you you need reduced size nuts to use the outer spacing of 5x114.3 holes. Fortunately I had some splined lugs on hand. 17mm hex lugs won't work, the bore is to small for a socket.
They left the unused inner set of holes silver rather than the black finish of the wheel. But what did I expect for the cheapest alloys I could stand to look at? $152 eBay, $162 amazon.

The Hakkapeliitta 10 grips ice and packed snow well, I've not yet chugged through really deep stuff on this particular tire. But they do have a soft sidewall, and you really notice the marshmallow ride when switching from summer tires

There isn't much clearance between the suspension and the tires in the last picture. Did you run into issues with that setup with no spacers?
