I confirmed with Volks/Rays lugs nuts you absolutely do. I ordered all extended studs H&R 40mm front 50mm rears for $90 plus shipping. Got a quote for the install $300.

Nice step by step blog here on Penguin. He’s where I got ordered the studs

Don't need to do rears. Just take the spacer off and there will be enough stud. Put OEM rear studs on the front. Fronts are easily done save yourself a bunch of money.

If you remove the rear OE spacer that will affect of the track width front to rear. Basically pulling in the rear wheels 10mm vs pushing them out equally. Personally not a fan of that look anyway accentuates the front wheels. Few hundred bucks to have it done right and retain the rear spacer well worth it to me.

Anyone put their stock tires on 9,5 inch wheels? Trying to see how bad the stretch is. I haven't done that before, and would like opinions and pics if possible to help me decide.

There is another thread on Extended Wheel Studs with some other options.
Removing the axle nut on these cars has resulted in thread problems due to the design of the nut. It might be worth trying to get by with something shorter than the ARP which could be done without removing the hub.
The studs in the GRC hubs really are not that hard to remove using the Service Manual guidance (In other thread)

235/40 on a 9.5 will definitely look stretched but its fine. According to the tire rack tests (the wheel width vs contact patch) its actually within the performance improvement range for sidewall rollover so you're good to go. The problem is finding a shop to mount that as it's technically out of the book spec that's "safe" lol.

I've run 235/40 on 10.5s without issue but that was a drift spec s14 with the PSI at like 40. I currently run a 185-60 on 14x9s for my ae86s but have a lot more sidewall to play with. I've never had a de-bead at these stretch rates.

I'm planning on moving my 235-40 PS4s over to an 18x9.5 later as well and put DWS06+ on my OEM wheels for winters. I'm not worried about the stretch at all and even intend to do track days on the PS4s. The stretch will be visibly noticeable though, so it's more of a visual preference thing. To me it just seems silly to sell the PS4s before they're used up. I would move to a 265 after.

That was my thinking too, thank you.

Put on the 20mm H&R spacers today, stock wheels will NOT fit on the rear without the 10mm stock spacer. The longer rear studs hit the inside of the wheel. So you need to mount both spacers if you're running on stock wheels.
If you are putting OEM rear studs on the front hubs like I am, you'll need a 10mm spacer up front too if you want to run your stock wheels and a 20mm spacer.
This effectively will be the same offset as a 18x9.5+12 and makes the wheels poke just a tad.

I am putting my spacers up for sale shortly. H&R 20mm spacers, 2 pair, $250 shipped.

Any forum wheel vendors on this site?

Could be lucrative, IMO. Forum vendor from an Audi enthusiast forum during my RS3 ownership days verified fitment of various wheels & of course sold wheels to forum members. Would be a nice resource here as well.

Any forum member recommend online wheel websites or contacts? Or maybe some Supra or WRX wheel suppliers/contacts would translate? Subispeed? Subimods? Looking for the best Black Friday pricing. Any help or direction would be appreciated, thanks!

Oh, and please vote. These?

WedsSport TC105X AMF Wheel - 18x9.5 / 5x114 / Offset +25 (Face: R) (EJ Titan)

Or these?

Advan RSIII Wheel - 18x9.5 / Offset +35 / 5x114.3 (Black Gunmetallic & Ring)

TC105N have the better offset, then I could avoid having to mess around with spacers. I plan to lower on Swift Spec R springs.

I like the Advans. But why RS3 with weak offset? Why not the RS-DF with better offset and forged in 18x9.5+22? Or RZ-F2 18x9.5+29

I like the forged options from Advan Racing as well of course, but then the price jumps from ~$600/wheel to ~$1K/wheel. As usual, I need more money!

Agreed. +35 offset is not ideal. I like how the RSIII looks better than the TC105N, but the WedsSports definitely have better offset at +25.

Advan Racing RS-DF Progressive Wheel - 18x9.5 / 5x114.3 / Offset +22

RS-DF does look good. Worth ~$200/wheel more? All the forged hotness. Gotta pay to play! Come on Black Friday sales!
I recently got a good deal on my TE37s from Anthony at EAutoSport in El Monte CA. Wouldn’t hurt to give him a ring see what he can offer.

I would actually run the ADVANs. At +25, I think you'll need fender massaging to fit 265 street tires lowered. +35 gives you more room to fit 265 track tires. You can always use very small slip on spacers to walk it out on extended studs to really fine tune it as well. Plus the ADVANs are cooler imo lol

I dont want to go off topic, but how about someone (not me lol) start GR color specific threads with wheel setups? Just so people can see what their GR color looks like with wheels desings/color.
Example: Ice Cap White GR with aftermarket wheel pictures.

Other car forums do it if anyone interested. Unless its on here and im missing it? Lol
