I weighed a few parts today to verify the weight savings:
  • Stock exhaust system (plus extra hangers; Excludes the Exhaust valve and its associated hardware) weighed: 33.28 lbs
  • RK titanium Signature Center Exit with the Helmholtz resonator (plus its additional hardware): 11.24 lbs
  • Stock Exhaust valve and the mounting hardware: 1.13 lb (exhaust valve 9.5 oz / mounting bracket with hardware 8.6 oz)
  • Off the Line Performance (OTL) exhaust valve mounting relocation bracket: 0.44 lb (or 7.1 oz)
Weight reduction for going to the RK titanium exhaust is 22.04 lbs. By using the OTL relocation bracket it add an additional reduction of 0.19 lb. Total is 22.23 lbs. If you use the bracket supplied with the RK titanium kit (instead of OTL bracket) the overall weight reduction would be a little more at 22.57 lb.

I chose to use the OTL bracket because it seemed more secure than the supplied one with the kit.

No pics?

I do have pictures, but they aren’t great. Took a while to find a way to balance stock exhaust on my scale. Found two boards I could use.

for the smaller stuff I used a smaller scale, it doesn’t show well in pictures. I did realize I miss read the reading for the OTL bracket it is 7.2 oz (not 7.1).

I have another weight reduction part that I have checked the weights on the parts. The Qi wireless charger is useless to me, only works for a little while before my phone slides a little and it is not in the sweet location to charge. Anyway I have a 1 ft cable and prefer wired carplay, its more responsive.

Replacing the QI charger panel with Toyota P/N 58839-12100-C0 (model for cars with seat warmers) nets a weight reduction of 12.5 oz (0.78 lbs). For me that seems like a win, no need for Qi charger, it is just dead weight. It should be noted it appears that this part has been discontinued so if you want one best get it sooner than later.

Lol. Truly a war of attrition. 😊
So what did it cost you to drop the weight of a nice ribeye steak?

$82.39 including taxes and shipping. Didn't do just for the weight benefit. I like that is utilizes the space better giving more room, plus I keep having my phone slide off of the qi charger (since that is where I like to set it when I plug it in for wired carplay. I'm probably going to list the qi charger on ebay and I can probably get $80 - $100 for it easy. Need to research and see how much the new one retails for so that I can set a reasonable price for the used one. Every little bit counts. My goal is to drop 80-100 lbs from the car without significantly affecting comfort and drivability. I have a roadmap I have been putting together that should get me to 80 lbs.

Food for thought.

Just removing the rear seats and seatbelt hardware dropped 111.20 lb from my Focus RS. Replacing front seats with OMP race seats dropped another 33 lb. Grimmspeed battery kit dropped another 31 lb. In total, I removed 302 lb from her, but added back 42 lb with modifications (intercooler + pipes gained 16 lb). All in all, got her down to 3160 lb without me at 3/8 tank of E30.

I get where you're coming from, but I think your old qi charger will be a tough sell. Nobody else wants them any more than you do. 🙄

Most of the time, my sunglasses sit on my qi charger. I use a rapid charger plugged into the 12v power port. My Pixel 7 sits in the little tray there like it was made for it, and never moves no matter how wild I'm driving. If the wife and I are traveling together and both need to charge our phones, one goes in the qi. It don't charge much, but it's better than nothing, and both our pixels will in fact charge there, even in cases.

Just for clarity, is that with the vents and all the accompanying hardware in place?
With vents (without hood support, and all windshield washer clips and hoses)

Does anyone know what the weight of the MBRP dual side exit exhaust system weighs?
