There is a toggle, my point is the "unread" alerts are a slightly different colour in light mode but they aren't in dark mode. They should be a significantly different colour to read ones in both modes.

As far as the layout, I think the forum is pretty tidy.

But one thing that bugs me is the sheer amount of threads closed for no apparent reason. Here's a recent one in particular.

The last comment was on topic and insightful, there was no fighting. Wtf? I actually enjoy reading through people's thoughts on the car for my own information.

One of my earlier threads was closed. There were some heated discussions in it. But all closing the thread achieved was the argument moves elsewhere. We have and will continue to beat the same horse until a majority of us actually own these cars and have other things to worry about. It's just the stage we are in of the infancy of this car and the climate that's creating these highly debatable purchasing issues.

Not sure if the forum can support it but some forums at the very top of the forums there is a chat room like a 2 or 3 inch long chat room floating there. Not sure if that's needed or wanted though here?
People usually shoot the shit in said mini chat rooms or answer quick technical questions usually in them.

I know what you mean, I think this forum is formatted in a simple way so we tried to add a BS thread for anything really. Other then that I’m not sure.

As stated on another thread I was just organizing some things. Sometimes it’s easier for me to comb through and move comments around when I freeze a thread for a bit. Sometimes I forget and it’s still closed so just remind me or any other mod.

While the Marketplace is bare, are we able to create subsections for it for each type of part? E.g. Vehicles only, Engine/exhaust, suspension, wheels, cosmetics (interior/exterior), etc.?

When/if the car becomes widely available and mainstream, it may make it much easier to be able to separate the items by subsection when searching rather than going through 20 pages of random items that have nothing to do with what you're looking for.

Yeah we’re getting to that. There’s a lot that needs to be added.

how about a discord server?
Discord servers are nice for casual back and forth but they're not indexed, eg. you can't Google search an issue and see a result from a discord chat. It's sort of the same problem I have with Facebook groups. In ~10 years when people pick these cars up on the used market and are trying to figure out quirks and issues, you could (probably) view this forum and find the answer, without registering for the website. I can't say the same about FB/Discord. Forums not only serve as a venue for discussion but as a publicly accessible repository of information gathered by the people posting there.

This article relates more to video games, but is applicable here as well: https://www.pcgamer.com/please-stop...-for-things-that-shouldnt-be-discord-servers/
