A "How to" subforum would be great
Agreed! A “garage” section with locked threads that have nothing but facts, e.g. specs about oil and no arguments about oil viscosity. Also create a space for diy/“how to” instructions for common mods or maintenance items without getting cluttered.

In the same vein, a Newby/FAQ section for all those questions that will pop up that get asked 1000 times.

also maybe a few more specific technical forums. Might not be necessary just yet but something to consider in the future. I am partial to NASIOC having been on there for a long time. Good ones to add for us might be Engine Management/Tuning, Electrical/Lighting, service/maintenance. this is their technical section:

Doing a great job so far though. thanks for all your efforts!

Being able to have everything in the maintaince section pinned or broken down with pdfs would be a good idea. versus having to look through all the pages for specific info.
I like these, all this will take time though since we would have to reorganize some things.

But it would help for sure.

I’ve been scrolling through a bunch of different forums to get ideas too. Appreciate the feedback!

As new versions come out, making trim specific sub-forums. For example, a discussion on carbon roof maintenance or any circuit wing issues would probably be better in a circuit edition sub-group
What about features that cross trims? I fully expect that there will be some new trim or option package for MY24 that expands the availability of the carbon roof and vented hood. I think sticky threads in an Exterior/Aero for those features would be acceptable.

I'm on board with most of the ideas so far.
A technical section with PDFs and a "how to" would be great. Possibly even together to form more of a Haynes manual setup.
Also a garage section where each member can post their car with photos and mods would be my big ask. And, if possible a place under the personal garage tab to do updates and talk about their car or experiences. The Chevelle forum I'm in does this very well.

We kind of have an iteration of that in the ownership section with GR Corolla builds. We added that a couple days ago.

I noticed with the project builds people would update their own threads constantly with whatever they were doing. So we wanted something similar on the Corolla side.

For example, @Tokyotexan thread:

+1 on a Technical thread breakdown;
Suspension/Wheels/Engine/ECU/Drivetrain/aftermarket ECU/TSS 3.0/ Toyota Connect/Builds/OE accessories/Yaris/etc to make it easier to post and search for certain info, rather than info and repeated questions being scattered through unrelated threads.

Should be easier with one model than some of the other forums trying to cover multiple models and series.
