People are commenting and hating on the gram and YT posts about it "just being a $50k corolla" I'm still sort of bummed it starts so high. I get its a SUPER special car and all. But not like Toyota would trouble selling them. Not one single bit.

The Core is a pretty good value and the options are rather inexpensive.

But if the Circuit Edition is going to be $4,600 more than a Fully-loaded Core AND arrive 5-6 months later then I’m really tempted to just go with a Circuit Edition for $4600 more.

For me, it’s the seats and the hood, and exclusivity. The CF roof and larger spoiler are nice but not deal-breakers.

My dilemma is that the car will see 12k+ miles a year so that’s why a Core would make sense…wouldn’t feel as bad racking up miles lol.

If you plan on keeping the car that doesn’t really matter though.

Jalopnik definitely got pretty cringey but it seems like you may have encountered her satirical alter-ego "fancy Kristen" and taken it seriously.
I wish that was the case, but after finding the article again, it's definitely not written satirically and she even doubles down in the comments. It's just one of those intentionally controversial click bait pieces that Jalopnik is known for, it even contradicts their own past articles. I'll give her the benefit of the doubt and chalk it up to who she worked for at the time.

Fortunately, the GR Corolla has plenty of coverage from all of the most respectable auto journalists, as one of the last great ICE hot hatches should. And to bring it back on topic, I think pricing is pretty reasonable considering current economic conditions, for the Core and Circuit at least. The Morizo is already going to be so rare that pricing almost doesn't even matter.

Any clarifications on exact content?
Subwoofer - not available on a regular Corolla hatch, even with the JBL. Specifically mentioned in the Toyota U.S.A. press release, but not mentioned in the Toyota Canada release.

One touch power windows. The Toyota U.S.A. press release mentions then for the Circuit Edition, but then doesn’t mention as part of technology package.

I know 🤣.
But yea I'm excited. Finally a hot hatchback with Toyota reliability. Reminds me of the 90's supra.
I’m sorry man you’re apart of the Rolla club dating back to the 70s. It’s fun because you get to enjoy your car while people try to tell you it’s just an econobox.

Then in 20 years the same people will offer you double of what you paid for the car 😭🤣

Doubtful of the sub but not 100% sure, Toyota PR gets details wrong from time to time. Almost certain one-touch power windows will be standard, as they are even in the base SE Corolla hatchback.
