I got the white core GR on 1/30/2023. Yes I could have gotten a better car blah blah. But I wanted this car! I love driving this lil corolla. Maybe to much because I'm racking up the miles...

Anyone in the central florida area let's keep in contact. I plan on doing the free track session in December, and so autocross stuff. Peace ✌🏿

Wanted a manual hot hatch with a bit more oomph. I'm done with German engineering for a while, so that knocked a few options off the table. The styling of the last Civic Type R looks like it was designed by a 10 year old with ADHD. The new one is better, but even more ridiculous to find and buy than the GRC. So I had a choice - upgrade my then-current ride (Fiesta ST) with big-boy mods (big turbo, upgraded fuel pump, etc etc etc), or get a new car. Really the only thing that met all my criteria was the GRC.

Absolutely. I'm coming from VW's so I wanted something different... I've own a Mk3 thru Mk6 from golfs to r32's to the golf r. that Fiesta ST is a fun car!

I’m in Orlando. I’ve previously owned a bunch of M3s, an M2, and a Cayman GT4 as my “sports” cars. Recently had our first kid and I’ve since sold the cars and settled down to put more time in to my family and business. Picked up the GRC as a fun, reliable, low key daily that can still handle a track day when I can sneak away. I still hold a NASA license and instructor licenses with most of the FL driving groups and would love to get out to Sebring with some other GRCs when possible!

Another Central Florida core owner absolutely will have to link at some point. I hope you were luckier than me and bagged pp pack, every dealer wanted an arm and leg earlier this year.

Bro nahhh I didn't get the PP either lol I've had enough cars with red brake calibers and I'm sure we can add the LSD at a later time hell they might have a better upgrade in years to come

95% of the allocations that have come to FL don’t have the performance package for whatever reason, which I personally wanted so I had to go out of state 😅. The dealer I also was working with has yet to get an allocation and I’ve been needing a replacement car badly. Especially after I JUST had to do 1,700 in repairs for it which hurt because I wanted to get rid of it prior to needing those fixes 🥲

That's awesome! We have an instructor near by. I've signed up to go out to Sebring in December to give me sometime to learn the car and stuff. But I'll definitely go before that date. I'm down for a GR cruise to Sebring.

Key word "sneak away" lol. Same here my friend as I get older I find myself trying to sneak out more to do guy stuff.

I'm glad you got it though! Yeah, it would've be nice to have the PP but then I said it'll be nice to have the Circuit edition etc...😵‍💫 But at the end of the day that's a good replacement car!

We'll never noticed the lack of LSD until we're on track likely, but for someone like me I got a lot of driver learning to do before I worry about that slowing me down too much lol. Additionally I expect the aftermarket to has options on options here shortly as most people are adoring the car.

Cusco already has true clutch based LSD options.

Doesn't Florida get a lot of rain gentlemen, like at least a few times a week?
I think you'll definitely notice the lack of limited slip differentials when driving spiritedly on wet/slippery roads. But I may be wrong.
I wonder why 90% of all GRC's sold in Florida don't comecome with the limited slip differentials? I thought it might be because Florida has nice warm weather all year, but so does Southern California and Arizona and Nevada and New Mexico.
Maybe it's because Florida is the retirement capital of the United States, and Toyota thinks that all the old fogies buying the car won't be driving them aggressively.🤣😜
Enjoy.

Yes, as a matter of fact I'm expecting rain at any moment haha.

Florida is also full of people who have no business attempting to drive spiritedly on wet/slippery roads  so I believe that in many cases it'll be safer to have open differentials in those conditions here as the car will spin a single wheel in place without really moving the entire axle like it would if both wheels spun. I had to travel out of state to locate my GRC with the PP.

We're also a pretty flat state, no hills or mountains or anything to worry about.

I totally agree FL is full on bad drivers including the Tourist. If I could've gotten PP I definitely would.
