Has anyone tried anything like wireless CarPlay adapter and had a good experience?

There is a new one on the market. I’d have to check another forum but positive reviews.

This is definitely one thing I wanted to avoid. By that I mean I wanted something with a normal HU like the GR86 where I could just replace it. That’s what I did with my MY2019 AWD truck. Gutted the whole system out. With the GRC having the screen tacked on the dash, makes that impossible, especially with ADAS.

The one thing is if using your smartphone to power audio (which is all I use mine for while driving, music, and GPS), well you’ll probably want to plug it in to charge it. But in that same AWD truck, I have wireless carplay (Pioneer HU), and it is pretty awesome. I bought a cheap wireless charging pad from Amazon so the phone stays in the center console 100% of the time. I‘d love a wireless charging pad in the GRC glovebox as I detest even touching a phone while in a vehicle. All these idiots I see every day. I wish there was a law so they could be arrested

That tacked on screen will not be fun to replace down the road.

Thank you very much for your sharing. I have been using wired CarPlay before. When the car starts, the mobile phone needs to be plugged into the car, and the mobile phone is often in the charging state. I understand that the wireless CarPlay function is from an Internet, the phone does not need to be constantly charged, the phone can be directly logged into CarPlay in the pocket, which is really great.
