Excited to finally join the forum! I've been lurking for over a year since rumors about the GR Corolla started rolling out from Japan. I remember when I saw first saw the bestcarweb rendering, I thought to myself "Toyota would never have the balls to release something so cool in NA. Especially not with that widebody and 300hp - we'd be lucky to just get the GR Yaris's 268hp engine in a normal E210 body." All I can say is that I am extremely pleased to have been proven wrong!

I'm currently driving a Veloster N, and looking forward to potentially getting a Circuit Edition. I am apparently #1 on a waiting list with a deposit, but unsure if my dealership will get a Circuit Edition allocation in Heavy Metal. I would be happy with a Core with Performance Package, however I am a bit concerned as the current Canadian press release did not mention the Core edition having a Performance Package option, or any option packages at all. Hopefully, we'll all get some more info soon.

Either way, I'm super excited for this car :)

Welcome.
I'm also currently driving a Veloster N, 2020 manual, and find it to be a very engaging, fun car but less so if the tires are cold.
I have a hard time getting all the power down, lots of front wheel hop.
The 4 wheel drive system on the GR Corolla should solve that problem for me.
From videos of the GR Yaris in wet conditions, it just hooks up.

Totally agree on the wheel hop. Even with mods that reduce the violent wheel hop, the best outcome is wheelspin which is still not desirable IMO. I'm definitely looking forward to the AWD in the GRC taking care of any grip issues off the line.

Also, nice Veloster N and awesome color. Mine is a grey DCT. Also looking forward to get back into a manual. The DCT is exceptional for an automatic, but it still cannot beat the engagement of a manual.
