Nice rides! Suzuki SX4 here, I'm keeping it alive until the GR Corolla is available.

Fun to think about all the current and past vehicles aspiring owners of the GR Corolla have had. Lots of cool cars in the Introductions part of the forum too. Valuable demographics for Toyota. I know I'm personally very curious to see what clusters of cool cars, types/lineages/genres of car culture emerge as aspiring GR Corolla owners. I wonder if Toyota has mined any of the demographics from all the thousands of people who signed up on Toyota's "future hot hatch" mailing list. With that in mind, here's free demographics, Mr. Toyoda! My list of past fun manual trans vehicles:

Multiple Miatas, FB RX-7, 323GTX, AE86, IS300, EF and EG Civics, A2 GTI, Protege, xA, SX4, 240DL, SV650, GS500, and honorable mention automatic LS400, what a great car.

Two longest cool car ownerships were the IS300 and turbo Miata. Both were dance partners for about 10 years. Have high hopes for the GR Corolla to be a long term ownership too. If it's a fraction as good as the GR Yaris, intend to keep it long as I can. Will get it yearly rust prevention, clear protective wrap, and maintain it well as always. I'm so excited, three cheers for Mr. Toyoda! :)

Currently driving an 11 FJ Trail Teams manual and an 01 IS300. The IS will probably go in favour of the GRC

Always like a nice FJ....The wheels on the Lexus are sharp.
Thanks man, definitely a pain to keep clean but they're worth it. My FJ is my baby, I will never get rid of that thing despite their worth skyrocketing

My body from middle school just bought one but it was the RWD version. He surprisingly got it for a good price just because of that one being a RWD.

Also my favourite Generation of IS is the first Gen and the current styling. I almost got one back when I was shopping for my car.

For sure! I've always had a secret crush on the Gen7 Celica...(parents bought a new 2000 Corolla; I still remember going car shopping with them and eyeing the far more impractical and double the price Celica).

Oh whoops, I just realized this is a photo thread... attached [edit: deleted for now].

A few dents, and some patches of rust that I need to find a shop to fix.
The car behind it is a crippled Veloster :( Has a broken bolt that I haven't been able to get out -_-

That was exactly my first new car. 2000 Celica GT in carbon blue. Loved that car so much. I put a 8.4 touchscreen in with a PC in the trunk. Designed my own interface. Went to see the first fast and furious with the local Celica club.

Hello all! New to this forum, appreciate all the info about the GRC and tips on how to potentially get one. Sold my Focus RS for a Shelby GT350R last year, and I've been missing the hot hatch ever since. FJ is my daily and the wife drives a 2020 Rav4 Hybrid XSE. I'd love to add another Toyota to our crew, especially if it's kicking out 300+ hp!
