Not even a week into owning it someone dropped their sandy bag onto my hood….

luckily, it's probably just surface clear coat stuff. should buff out pretty quick

Took the GR to town to register it, and found that as expected, the PS4's are shit for snow tires. Braking at 25 mph on a flat packed snow road is very similar to just ice, the ABS does a bunch of talking, the pedal moves around but the car barely slows for what seems like forever. Touch the loud pedal and you go straight to traction control. Time for snow wheels!

Call me a luddite, but I was annoyed when the cruise control took it upon itself to slow down for curves. I'll have to look into the settings for that. Wet snow immediately covered the radar sensor, which disabled adaptive cruise and put up a nag screen to stop and clean the sensor. Turn off ESC and cruise is disabled. This car is going to need some fiddling to be a snow car...

Yep had the same experience in snow. Already put snow tires on. Much better.
Also the slowing down around curves can be turned off. Full speed ahead!

I put the OEM wheel/tire back on the Crosstrek and mocked up the 15s on the GRC 😁

i changed the oil, pulled efi main no 1 fuse to prime the system and now i have a p102d. i clear it and it comes back right away 😭

doesn't make sense. I've unplugged the battery but accidentally closed the hatch hahaha gotta crawl in the back to reattach it

I don't know what you're using to read codes, or if it gives you the code status. There are four possible status for a DTC, Pending, Current, History, or Permanent. Is it possible it's just there under "Permanent" status?
