I think what he did was order the mirror. Just the mirror. Not a mirror kit.
As much as I like those bumper lights I kept reading reviews that they don't last. I really like how they look. Do they just light up? Is there a brake and turn signal wire?
Did your mirror come with the extension?
The issues I've seen are the LEDs will die. So you'll be driving around with random LEDs dead. Maybe those are different brands?View attachment 11623
I've had the same style lights on my Camry for years, from the same brand. That said the wires are quite thin. These are the lights for the IS F, but they're essentially the same concept.
Overall construction is on the cheaper side, but I haven't had issues yet.
Footwell lighting def on my radar, did you hardwire?Put in some footwell lighting - makes a huge difference. Also got some better pictures of the car with the CE hood installed.

Dash cam and radar detector are hardwired. Lights are plugged in via USB to a 12V power inverter that I have in my car.Footwell lighting def on my radar, did you hardwire?
Gonna work on hardwiring my dash cam sometime this week.
Did you tap into the mirror for the dashcam and radar detector?Dash cam and radar detector are hardwired. Lights are plugged in via USB to a 12V power inverter that I have in my car.
I think I tapped the 12V for the radar detector (it was the only one that did ignition switch on/off correctly for some reason) and the radio and hazard lights to get the dash cam functioning correctly with parking mode.Did you tap into the mirror for the dashcam and radar detector?
Ah okay. I'm going to try to use a mirror tap kit to avoid having to take apart interior pieces and to simplify wiring.I think I tapped the 12V for the radar detector (it was the only one that did ignition switch on/off correctly for some reason) and the radio and hazard lights to get the dash cam functioning correctly with parking mode.
I just did fuse taps into the interior fuse box. There's a couple of screws to take out the plastic guard underneath the steering wheel to easily access the fuse box.Ah okay. I'm going to try to use a mirror tap kit to avoid having to take apart interior pieces and to simplify wiring.
When you took out that plastic guard were you able to remove the obd2 connector? I was fiddling around with it and couldn't get that sucker out.I just did fuse taps into the interior fuse box. Yeah, there's a couple clips to the left and right sides. If you push one of them using a small flathead screwdriver, it should pop out relatively easily. When you took out that plastic guard were you able to remove the obd2 connector? I was fiddling around with it and couldn't get that sucker out.
Been wondering about those. Once you try them out please post a review.some Cusco goodies I’ll get to install this weekend I suppose.
