Na man its one of those things where i had to sell my zl1, my damn job cut my salary by 20-30%. Got a crazy offer on my zl1 that I couldnt refuse, so figured i would give this car a shot when my local dealership had it available at msrp. Wish i could keep the zl1 but my current situation would not allow me to :(
I really did try to give this car a shot. May just keep it for awhile till my situation gets better, and cancel my order on the other car. I mean its not a terrible car at all!!! And who knows, maybe if i add a few things to it ill start loving it
This is just the practical side of me talking but if your salary was cut 20-30% why do you want to continue to pay more and more taxes by continuing to swap cars? Or even modify the car at all? GR Corolla, on a whole, (as much of this market) is incredibly expensive if all you need is transportation. Unless the other car order you have is something in the 20-30k range and even then I'm kind of curious what the strategy is here. Coming off a 650hp supercharged V8 to 300hp 1.6L is always going to be a disappointment. Haven't really seen a description of why the car isn't checking the right boxes for you so can't really say if the car even has the remote possibility of fulfilling what you're looking for.

In any case with a number of dealers coming down to $5k or lower markups today you're going to be hard pressed, imo, for your car to maintain its value because it doesn't have the LSD performance pack. The main consumer of that specific spec is the people who barely have enough money for the base car or people who want to modify it like crazy and put nicer LSD's in and not have the weight of the heating elements or tech package as they're tossing all the factory stuff into a bin gutting the car. Both of which are looking to buy the cheapest car they can find unfortunately.

Honestly. I think its just i am not used to a small hatchback type car. Maybe in time if i add a bigger spoiler, a lip kit, lower it. Maybe that will give me the curb appeal i am looking for. And i was looking at the new mustang gt thats coming out. W my x plan discount i get it would be 40-41msrp. I dunno man. Still on the fence. Maybe getting rid of the zl1 2 weeks ago is still fresh on my mind.

and didnt need the extras. Never would use heated seats and not even going to track it
The only thing I can say is look at the builds for the base Corolla HB. All the kits, all the stuff Toyota pushed for the SEMA show back in 2018 (I think?). If nothing is inspiring - plan to get rid of the car. While the GR Corolla gets some new bits and bulges, the e210 platform is pretty flushed out already. From the aesthetics side, most of what will be on the market from a design standpoint is already there. It's just going to get modified to fit the GR Corolla mounting points and slight dimension changes. Though interesting it doesn't seem like it's the drive that's driving the decision, just the curb appeal? Japanese and American design philosophies are generally pretty different and the GR Corolla comes from the reserved econobox sleeper side of things.
