Looks like someone who tried to enter the GRMN Yaris lottery in Japan was sent a letter. Akio seems to really love the car and wants to further develop the product.

Also shares that the “MN” in GRMN stands for “Morizo and Naruse instead of “Meister of Nürburgringto Toyoda San. Pretty cool

I really like that MN. Gotta love him throwing it back to a great racer and teacher

I'm surprised by the part where it mentions Naruse-san being approached by Honda to teach them how to make FR cars, and he straight up declined Honda's advances and went back to Toyota😂. What a legend.
That is pretty crazy. At one point Honda had Keiichi Tsuchiya as a development driver I believe.

Naruse would’ve had fun driving the Yaris.

Such as adding an option for automatic, that they were caught testing a few months earlier in a rally series. Similar strategy as the Supra, which will trickle over to the GR Corolla in a couple years?
Yeah that’s happening in some capacity.

The reason why it’s more shocking than the Supra/GR86 or even the GRC is because it’s suppose to be a limited car. Even after the Covid mishap that ruined the season earlier, the Yaris wasn’t destined to be around for awhile.
