Toyota is inviting the aftermarket get hands on with a few GR Corolla's for prototype test fitting and 3D scanning at the SEMA Garage in SoCal Sept 13-14. Another step closer to the GRC landing at the dealerships.

This is pretty cool and it's nice to see that, though I see a limited amount of companies in the US producing anything for this platform since there probably isn't as much mass sales in it for them. I really only would see companies like invidia, BC racing, KW, and a couple others looking at this market to sell exhaust intake and suspension. Maybe VIS or seibon to design a hood.

I hope they let companies in japan do the same such as HKS, greddy, tomei etc.

I bet Japanese mod company will be on the boat. Tom's will have the wing and body kit I believe. I want project mu, os gikan, ohlins, jrz to develop products for the gr corolla.

Great headstart
Since we know there are two GR models floating around to various locations in the US, is there any chance we can create a topic that specifically follows them so we know when it’s close and can get out to see it? I would really like to see it in person.

We could for sure but keep in mind, most of what we have seen is supposedly the first drive cars for media.

A few weeks ago a Heavy Metal Circuit Edition was spotted at Steveston port in Vancouver, BC. I'm not sure if that's the same car that was in Texas or a different one.

That was likely the car that was spotted in SoCal filming a commercial. It'll probably be used for the press drives later this month as well.

Not necessarily. Ford did it with the new 6th gen bronco and companies started making parts and then found out ford changed stuff and there were major fitment issues

They definitely will be. By September they should have finalized everything and started manufacturing. Toyota had the Supra at SEMA Garage back in 2019 as well, definitely helped get the aftermarket moving early.
