Any thoughts on rust undercoating, whether from dealer or not? I saw a demo in person, it looks goopy and clumpy, thought it may potentially ruin the aesthetics of the underbody and also the resell value of the components like the exhaust. Live in a snow heavy area.

One of our shop cars came with a non-negotiable under coating. I spent 10 hours over two days stripping it all off. This and tire shine are my two least favorite things ever.

Just wash your damn car regularly.

Not good advice for anyone that lives in the north.

Yep, ACF-50 or one of these (if available in the US) for me: The BEST motorcycle rust inhibitors

I don't like that black undercoating because it can be a real pain if you ever need to undo any fasteners, if carelessly applied it can plug up drain holes, and I've heard tales of it partially peeling and trapping water and junk underneath it and making corrosion worse.
