So Toyota has confirmed it will restart orders for the GR Yaris in November but in VERY limited numbers.

Australia was only allocated 160 for 2023. They will offer more colours options though. Red, black, white and pearl white.

Having fulfilled its first batch of GR Yaris orders, Toyota is re-opening orders for the hot hatch but has only secured 160 for 2023.

I heard about this a couple weeks ago and now have deposits in for both Yaris & Corolla, depending on what comes first I’ll take. Corolla is still what I want in the end so if I get a Yaris first I’ll sell to before taking delivery of Corolla. (Unless I love it too much to get rid of 😅)

I've also got a deposit down on the GRC but I think the chance of getting one is going to be very slim unfortunately. The GRY at retail price could be the best way to go.

Will be happy with either at this stage but I have a feeling that GRC will be online order only or maybe lottery like the Supra was

Also I wonder if that new Glacier white is also pearl/metallic or just flat white that’s on the normal GRY

I wish we had this option of getting the GR Yaris in Canada, I personally would prefer the Yaris over the Corolla I think, lighter weight, 2 doors, looks more fun to toss around!

100% agree.
The GR Yaris is the true WRC rally car homologation special, where the gr Corolla means really nothing in comparison.
I have no doubt that the GR Yaris is the more capable, fun and entertaining car to drive.
Smaller, lighter more nimble, and more playful.
If much rather have the Yaris, oh well my fellow Canadian we can only dream.
