So funny to me. A contest to win the ability to pay for a car. Not win the car, win a $70k invoice.

it’s also set up that only a YouTuber, Instagramer, “influencer” could ever win so Toyota can get free publicity.

If I entered (I won’t), had all the social media following and everything their “contest judges” wanted to see (I don’t), and won the chance to buy the car (I wouldn’t), and bought the car for $70k, I would never show it for a second on my socials. If I’m buying a car that I had to beg to pay for, there is no way Toyota would be getting free advertising from me.

I would just buy it and flip it, and flip Akio Toyoda my middle finger as well. 🖕

I wouldn't be surprised if someone were to flip it and get like 100k out of it!
I don't doubt for a second that there is some loser out there, with more money than brains willing to pay $100k+ for......get this........a Toyota Corolla. 😆 🤣 😂 😹
Personally, if I was going to spend $100k+ on a car it would be on a Porsche Cayman GT4 or GTS 4.0.

I wonder if part of the Toyota “contest” is a contract saying you won’t sell within a certain time period. Similar to what Ford did with the GT.

Are the dealers that sell the cars to the “contest winners” going to force them to buy all sorts of mandatory dealer add-ons?

I'm pretty sure that will be the case with this, I remember Tim Hortons when they had the Corolla or Rav4 and if you won that you must keep it for a year or two, part of the contract.
It's not the worst thing, I mean you get to drive it for a year or so, then you can flip it for more if you don't like it for whatever reason.
