I've always been into cars, but haven't really owned many. I sold my Celica after I started having kids and got a crossover. Now that my kids are school age I've got the itch again. With electric cars soon to be taking over I feel like this will definitely be one of the best Toyota's* to have in the next 20 years. The GR Corolla hits more checkboxes than anything else so it looks like that's what I'll be going with.

  • Manual transmission
  • AWD
  • Good technology
  • Reliable
  • Safe
  • 4 seats for kids when needed
  • Special (G16E-GTS engine)
  • Not crazy expensive
*All Toyota, no BWM/Subaru/etc..

Welcome to the club. I think it checks all your boxes. Wish we knew where the price point is going to be but I have a feeling it will be 45-48 CDN which if my phone is right should be 35-38 USD

Welcome aboard. If the rumours of Motomachi are true, that'll make it even more special than just the G16

I'm late to the party, but welcome aboard! I've got a very similar checklist, just subtract kids and add 2 dogs that get hauled around a lot. I'm also just a sucker for a sharp looking hatchback.

Here's hoping the price isn't a breaking point. We're all dying to figure that one out.
