So apparently a dealership approx 3hrs north of me will have a GRC on display for the memorial day weekend sale. I'm debating on going or not. If its the core version I probably wont bother, but if its the proto circuit edition than that changes things. If I do decide to go, I will obviously take pics and maybe do an IG or FB live on it. Was there any particular angles that anyone wanted to see? Im not a professional photographer by any means, but ill try my best to get whatever angles anyone wants to see. I'm gonna call the dealership tomorrow to verify if they are indeed displaying the GRC and if its the core or circuit.

True, but I'm in the circuit edition or bust camp, so not gonna waste a whole Saturday traveling to see a car I have no interest in.
Really? While I would love a Circuit Edition I'm being realistic and if I can get a Core Edition with all 3 packages It would be the same driving experience and ultimately that is what I'm after. 😎

Toyota of Burleson just north of Dallas. The owner's son posted on FB a few days ago that they will have a GRC on display this weekend. So I'm gonna call tomorrow and verify.
@Guff is in the DFW area, if memory serves. He might be interested in knowing.
I can't believe people are so willing to pay 50k+ for a CE .
I don't know of anyone who thinks the CE is going to go for $50k. Maybe after markups, but we've had that discussion 100 times.

Getting conflicting information in the FB posting. One user is saying its not a GRC but a XSE. The OP is being rather vague about it as well. One phone call this morning should clear things up. Figured it might be true because Toyota HQ is in the Dallas area...

And yes after markups, it will be $50k+, but MSRP wont be that's for sure. My dealer is a MSRP only dealer, so if one falls in my lap I KNOW I'm not paying $50k+.

Ill update this thread once I talk to the dealer.

It'll most definitely be the CE. They've been showing the CE around like crazy and the Core gets 0 press

This is highly suspect.

Has Toyota ever done anything like this? Unless the GRC is going on tour (in which case, I would think it would be an announcement/event - at minimum, the media/press would know about it), is there a reason for Toyota to show such favor to an independent dealership?
Idk of many manufacturers doing that. Chevy did it with the C8 but that's their halo car and it was a big change from every other Corvette
