As i am new to Australia what doe the phrase "first in best dressed actually mean"? I was looking pretty scruffy when I visited the dealership
Haha it basically just means you are first in line before anyone else 😂 not to do with how you were actually dressed hahahaAs i am new to Australia what doe the phrase "first in best dressed actually mean"? I was looking pretty scruffy when I visited the dealership![]()
I agree it would be awful and scalpers would have a field day, I really hope they don’t actually go down this route like it’s some special edition pair of Nike shoes that go up for sale the same day for 10 times the retail price. I’ve been following rumours about the car for about 2 years now so would really suck if someone that only just found out about it last week gets one and I never get an opportunity. That would be a disappointing outcome, as it would favour chance over those who were properly prepared and made a passionate effort to obtain the vehicle. Plus, I imagine it would be exploitable as scalpers would mass register interest through multiple accounts in the hope of obtaining multiple vehicles for resale. I would lose a lot of faith in Toyota as a brand if they took this approach.
Which dealers have provided this information?
Honestly don’t know what is legit or what isn’t as all dealers have different advice on it, I really just don’t want to miss out. In a way I feel like we are more likely to get our hands on one with an online lottery over relying on dealers. Either way it’s a shambles for sure and may come down to luck or right place/timeHonestly the whole process is turning into a shambles. I don't get why Toyota didn't work all this out before the reveal. If they were going to have a lottery process then the details in regard to price and country allocation at least should have been released at or shortly after the reveal. Even though I put a deposit down early (#3rd at my local dealership) I'm getting the feeling that it will mean SFA at the end of the day which sucks. If we do miss out that would mean the next opportunity would be what 2024? Fuck that.,
Yea, we can't be too reliant on what dealers say, as they probably know as much as we do. I don't think anyone will know until the VIN's are allocated, at which point things will move fast and chaotically.Honestly don’t know what is legit or what isn’t as all dealers have different advice on it, I really just don’t want to miss out. I just really hope the process is fair but I know that’s wishful thinking, I wouldn’t wanna be in the US where they’re allowed to mark up prices on new cars because of demand I think that’s crazy lol should be illegal there tooYea, we can't be too reliant on what dealers say, as they probably know as much as we do. Yeah I feel bad for potential buyers ih the US because their process seems even worse. I can see it getting very ugly with MASSIVE demand and so few cars. The GR Yaris roll-out over here was bad with the limited numbers and pricing changes and some people still haven't got their cars. I can only imagine how it's going to go down over there.I just really hope the process is fair but I know that’s wishful thinking, I wouldn’t wanna be in the US where they’re allowed to mark up prices on new cars because of demand I think that’s crazy lol should be illegal there too
Definitely feel for buyers in US, thankfully I think it is illegal to mark up brand new cars here in Australia. I read somewhere on FB today that Australia might be getting 500 Circuit editions in the first year and no cores ? With an all online process. Sounds crazy and not too credible lol but I’d feel better about getting all Circuit Editions as there might be more chance of getting one lol seems unlikely though as US is only getting roughly 1500 circuits and 5500 cores apparentlyYeah I feel bad for potential buyers ih the US because their process seems even worse.
